98 John Deere 1070. approx 900 hours. What kind of interval should I be changing the hydraulic fluid? I want to change the filter for sure, but as the transmission and hydraulic is one system, I wonder if it's time to change the fluid.

    Clutch Smoking

OK did a real stupid thing this weekend to the "Big Green Sexy"!! A friend and I have been taking some big pines old pines down that were leaning over the house. Antifreeze

I was getting the big green sexy (98 JD 1070 600 +/- hours) ready for this next blast of snow last and noticed I was a bit low on antifreeze. Not much, but low. I did notice a couple of weeks ago a wiff of antifreeze. Head gasket issue maybe? It doesn't overheat at all.

I noticed a spark on the right side (sitting on the seat) of my tractor when I started her last. I had a friend start it so I could actually see where the spark was. Grapple Mods

I had to make a few changes to my grapple. I bent up the bucket pretty good. I took a 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" x 1/2" angle and welded it along the entire bottom side of the bucket. The arm connection at the bucket braket bent a bit as well. I tried ti get away with only (2) large bolts on the end. I...
