    UTV - Trying to Decide

I looked at the Kubota's and they were nice. Unfortunately they are very loud and slow. They still have the best cab in my opinion. I settled on Kawi Pro-MX. It's midsized and has plenty of grunt for me. You can get a cab and heat if that's your bag.

    Lawn Tractor vs Zero Turn

Yes, they can do more than mow grass. I have seen them pull carts. I have even seen them with a snow plow. (I laughed my ass off when I saw that) Just because they can be fitted with such ridiculous things don't mean they are a capable alternative. Zero turns were invented to mow grass. they...

    Limburger and onions sandwiches?

    Clutter

I got a dumpster the other day. I like to get them every couple of years to rid myself of accumulated crap that I can't put by the curb. I can't stand clutter. It drives me insane. Although the dumpsters are not cheap, the feeling I get from a tidy barn, shop, and house make them worthwhile. I...

Side by Side for yard work 2x4 ok?

I have a 130# wench. I although have yet to teach her how to drive the Mule. I would never trade her for a 2500# she just wouldn't fit.

I was not the confused one. 🤣

The 4x4 function is best used before you need it.

My girl Dalilah, she is going on sixteen. She can't make the stairs to the bedroom anymore, so I carry her up at night and carry her down in the morning. I think she is capable, but I believe she took a tumble and is now afraid of them.

Pros & Cons Kawasaki Mule SX vs Honda Pioneer 520

I used to think that way too. Then I realized almost every ATV, UTV, Snowmobile use a CVT tranny. They are proven technology. So far, I'm impressed with mine.

Pros & Cons Kawasaki Mule SX vs Honda Pioneer 520

I was all in on the Kawi SX and the Honda 520. I decided they were a bit narrow. I wanted more stability. Plus neither had power steering. After research I went with the Kawi Mule Pro MX. It's not much bigger but checked all the boxes. So far I'm happy I did.

    Thorny bush you must die.

You know what time it is? It's time to throw the pruners into the woods and go get Big Greenie. That bush is going back to hell from whence it came!

4ft or 5ft Land Plane for Kubota BX

I like the plow a bunch. It was one of the reasons I chose Kubota. The wheel weights are from a 1969 JD 140 garden tractor my dad bought new in 1969.
  164. dj1701

4ft or 5ft Land Plane for Kubota BX

I have a box blade for my bigger tractor, but it does not compare for driveway work. I've had people tell me they could do the same thing with a box blade. Yeah, I can hammer a nail with a pipe wrench, but it's easier and faster with a hammer.

4ft or 5ft Land Plane for Kubota BX

LOL, I guess I never felt the flex. Maybe I'm lacking a sixth sense or something.

4ft or 5ft Land Plane for Kubota BX

I don't know if my land plane is considered light duty or not. I do know that my little Kubota doesn't have the HP to ever tear it up. I even used it on my JD4320 with no problems.
  167. dj1701

4ft or 5ft Land Plane for Kubota BX

I have a BX 2680 with a 48" land plane. My advice is getting the 48". When I start digging down deeper to get the potholes out, I can feel the tractor struggle. I have the GS0548 and its plenty HD enough.
  168. dj1701

    The little tractor that could.

Actually they were backing out when they realized they could not turn around. That Kubota is a tough little tractor, but it could not have pulled them out. The JD 4320 was huffing a bit.

    The little tractor that could.

This is what the jackass Lowes drivers did to my driveway. Or should I say, what I did to my driveway pulling their sorry asses out of my field.

    The little tractor that could.

I have a bigger tractor but did not want to jinx myself by taking the snowblower off just yet.

    The little tractor that could.

The driveway finally dried out enough to get the spring fixing done.

To add a FEL or not

IMO I would sell it and get a tractor with one. Or get a tractor brand that is more common, and you can easily get one that fits. Once you have a loader you will wonder how you lived without one. Dave

    My Dad and John Wayne.

My Dad never met John Wayne, but we both liked him. I took a pic of my dad with the Winchester trapper I bought him for Christmas. Years later I got to working with photo programs and put him in a shot from True Grit. He never got to see it, but he would have laughed his ass off. I smile...

Can I get some thoughts and opinions regarding Echo chainsaw?

I have a Stihl battery operated saw. My buddy called it the fisher price saw. Then he barrowed it for his dad to use. He stopped making fun of it. https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/attachments/20180711_134859-jpg.784587/

Gas string trimmer aka weed eater recommendations wanted

I use a Stihl cordless trimmer. I'll never buy another. I trim around the house, barn, raised beds, ponds, up buy the road, all on one battery. Plenty of power and easy to reload with string. Dave

Great info for people in the photo community, but I'm thinking the OP just wants a camera. I understand because we have all been there. I have a buddy that loves taking pictures. He comes to me for advice but does not understand aperture, shutter speed, and ISO so it falls on deaf ears. His...
