I looked at the Kubota's and they were nice. Unfortunately they are very loud and slow. They still have the best cab in my opinion. I settled on Kawi Pro-MX. It's midsized and has plenty of grunt for me. You can get a cab and heat if that's your bag.

There is something called the no till method. Seems to work for eveything else that grows outside. No reason to think veggies gardens should be fluffed up each year.

That makes no sense. Weeds don't start from 12" deep, they start on top from seeds and then become established. Your bed could be 12 feet deep and your going to get weeds on top.

If you're going to want a front blade there is no comparison. The Kubota's is hugely more HD, It was one of the reasons I went with them. I bought mine for mowing in the summer and plowing in the winter. I also take the ROPs off in the summer to make mowing easier. JD does not allow that.

I test drove a RTV. Solid machine but you are going nowhere faster than a garden tractor for a premium price. I settled on kawasaki Pro MX. Bigger than the SX but not by much. Plenty of power from the one lung 700. Power steering, and has more storage. It's down hill engine breaking is awsome.

I used to think that way too. Then I realized almost every ATV, UTV, Snowmobile use a CVT tranny. They are proven technology. So far, I'm impressed with mine.

I was all in on the Kawi SX and the Honda 520. I decided they were a bit narrow. I wanted more stability. Plus neither had power steering. After research I went with the Kawi Mule Pro MX. It's not much bigger but checked all the boxes. So far I'm happy I did.

I like the plow a bunch. It was one of the reasons I chose Kubota. The wheel weights are from a 1969 JD 140 garden tractor my dad bought new in 1969.

I have a box blade for my bigger tractor, but it does not compare for driveway work. I've had people tell me they could do the same thing with a box blade. Yeah, I can hammer a nail with a pipe wrench, but it's easier and faster with a hammer.

I don't know if my land plane is considered light duty or not. I do know that my little Kubota doesn't have the HP to ever tear it up. I even used it on my JD4320 with no problems.

I have a BX 2680 with a 48" land plane. My advice is getting the 48". When I start digging down deeper to get the potholes out, I can feel the tractor struggle. I have the GS0548 and its plenty HD enough.

Actually they were backing out when they realized they could not turn around. That Kubota is a tough little tractor, but it could not have pulled them out. The JD 4320 was huffing a bit.
