True, a zero turn will mow better than either tractor until you start getting into the woods and mowing trails. I have yet to see a zero that could mow where I can mow on my BX. Do I really need a tractor on 1.5 acres?

Mine exceeds in many things. Mowing under trees where larger tractors won't fit. They are lighter when the ground is not firm enough for a heavier tractor. ROPS modification

    Studs vs chains for tires

For the big jobs I use my JD4320. It has a loader and snowblower and I never need chains. However, I like to use the Kubota BX2680 for the lighter stuff. I have chains all the way around, and that little tractor is a tiny beast due to the traction the chains give her.

My girlfriends little guy Chadwick, he was a Texas throw away. We both found him online in a nasty shelter in Cleburne Texas. The rest is a love story I won't get into. He's all dressed for his first Buffalo winter. LOL

Lifting safe - Ballast Box needed?

I would recommend some form of ballast. Better to have it and not need it, than the other way around. I had my box blade when I moved my new safe.

    Let's see your knife.

I really don't know anything about the different types of steel. Will is a friend of mine and I can vouch for the quality of the knives I've seen. This one is sharper than a witches tongue. I included a Facebook link in my post. Check it out if you wish. Will is a good bloke and can answer all...

    Hoarding

Hoarding, it happened to me, and it can happen to you. I inherited my folk's house a while back. Being the nice guy, I let my sisters live there with the understanding they pay the taxes and keep up on the place. To make a long story short, I was left with a very big mess. I was never the kind...

Water-glassed eggs (pickling lime) and hard-boiling… my results.

I can't help you with "water-glassing eggs" because I never heard of that. However if you want hard boiled eggs that virtually pop out of the shell, stop boiling them. I have tried adding things to the water, and it did nothing to help them peel easier. I tried an instant pot, and that works...

Kubota wheel and loader nut torque.

I don't own a torque wrench. I've been doing it by feel for 40 years and never had a problem. I guess some folk can get a bit overzealous and start breaking stuff.

Kubota wheel and loader nut torque.

While I suppose that some more delicate parts of a machine call for a torque wrench, wheel and loader nuts will be fine with what I have done all my life. Use a standard hand wrench and the T4tight principle.

    Driving on the road

Hi all, This question is for New Yorkers. Can you legally drive your compact utility tractor on the road in NYS? I have a JD 4320. it has the slow-moving vehicle sign as well as headlights and flashers. I need it at my other property that is 6 miles away. Thanks Dave

Kubota MX Series Air Ride Seat?

You would think for what you have to pay, whether it be a small tractor or a very large tractor, that the comfort of the operator would be a high priority. Nobody should have to shell out hundreds of dollars so that their new machine won't hurt them.

Kubota MX Series Air Ride Seat?

Same situation on my Kubota BX2680. The seat was good, but the way they attach it pounds your spine into jelly. I wound up getting a Grammer suspension seat. It was very pricey, but my back is never sore the next day...
