JD850 with JD80 front end loader--Hydraulics issue, bucket strains to dump and has no strength

The 4 place snowmobile trailer with that hay bundle and axle positions gave me about 60 lbs of tongue load. That'a about 1/2 a tank of gas. Plenty of tire reserve capacity for stopping, and nowhere near the bump stops. Rear wire loom was already set up for trailer lights and brakes.

    Mowing Cutter death trap

From the video, it's pretty obvious that the shaft connected to the tractor's pto has been assembled incorrectly. The Cardan yokes are 90 degrees off. Most shafts are designed to be put together properly phased, so I'd bet that some yahoo put a new yoke on one end without knowing the consequences.
  40. zzvyb6

    Mowing Cutter death trap

I can't tell from the dark photo at the tractor end, but first suspicion is that one of the PTO shafts is mis-phased. This are probably low angle shafts, so the yokes at each end of each shaft must be aligned as mirror images. Post some pictures of each shaft showing both ends.
  41. zzvyb6

    Haying information needed

Consider removing it and using a lateral drawbar attached between the lower links. This will/may require a longer PTO shaft as well. Only other options are to single windrow, make a wider windrow when cutting and don't rake it. Maybe us a loader bucket to flatten the windrow as it comes in.

b2650 almost rolled need front wheel spacers

Ditto on the JD 1445/1435. I have the 76" rear discharge deck and the system can go 15 mph (measured with radar trailer). The rear discharge can out-do a side discharge because of high cut grass flow rate, AND it can easily handle very tall weeds, sticks, grass, vines, etc. Side discharge...

Anyone use a PTO quick connect?

Depending of what you are powering, there's a pto shaft involved which needs to have it's midpoint centered over the drawbar hitch center for best/smoothest operation. I guess so. Going straight ahead, the bar is not in-action, In turns on all surfaces, the outer tire will give up grip (that's good for rollover) and you'll need a bit more steer angle to keep on a turn radius. In turning and tilting in a plowing situation, I can see a loss. But if you are...

old 4300 pulling even older brush cutter - better alternative?

Blue exhaust smoke, uses engine oil, lazy rpm spin-up, 2wd vs 4wd use. We have a 4400 (36 hp), runs a square baler with a tow behind trailer, 2nd range never a strain. Hills, do consume power as the machine has to lift the equipment stack. Have the injection pump tested.
