TYM T474HC parking brake light not working.

The parking brake light hasn't working from day 1. When I turn on the ignition, the light comes on briefly on the dash, but it is not operational when the parking brake is actually applied. I didn't think anything of it till I forgot to disable the parking brake before using it one day. I spoke to a friend of mine, asking him why tractors don't come with a parking brake idiot light. He cranked up his old Kioti and sure enough, his worked like it is supposed to. I mentioned this to my dealer, and it sounds like he is telling me this is normal. My tractor does NOT have this feature. Is this true? Anyone support or dispute this theory?

Call Musk at DOGE. We need to get rid of these non-working elements. If Mr. Parking Brake was doing there job, you couldn't move it. Sounds like a switch hitter is out of position or working from home.

They either don't use the parking brake light in the HST models or in the US models all together.

I know in the European models, since it's required to have a parking brake lever similar to a manual car or truck, they do use the light.

I think the wiring and maybe switch is there too. Just not being used.

It is not enabled from the factory for the parking brake. Trust me, I HAVE a T474.

My old Ford has a mechanical parking brake. It's either on or off with your choice of one or two wheels (pedals locked together). You don't need a light if it's on. The tractor will go around in a circle or not move at all.

Interesting my 5520H has a console light that goes on when the brake goes down. I'm assuming it's probably the same ? or a very similar console. I'm like 90% sure it's just a simple contact switch because it's triggered by pressing the brake down most of the way. So worst case that wouldn't be super hard to wire something like that in..
