Sounds normal to me. The more you load them the more they will put out black smoke. Black smoke is unburned diesel. Your governor opens up the strokes on the injection pump when rpms begin to drop and if engine is overloaded the cylinders are unable to have a complete burn of the fuel and the...
Project complete. I forgot about pictures but really nothing to show. Was not pleased with gear match ups but shimmed as best I knew how. Seemed to run out fine. I did notice on my parts order to Hoye that I was billed through All States Ag. Sort of wondering if Hoye has sold out?
Yes, the inside was very clean. It had transmission fluid in it. I don't expect a problem with the gears. Hoye nor anyone else I could find stock the two axle housing gaskets. My measuring of the gaskets showed about .022". That has to play into the final setting of clearance. Still mulling it...
One of my friends owns a 1720 with problems. Upon receiving the tractor, putting it on jack stands I noted the left wheel would lock in with the transmission only when differential lock was pushed down. Left wheel would do nothing no matter what I did. My thought was broken stub axle shaft but...
For what it's worth, it is a little over 1100 miles from Iowa Park Tx to Charlette, North Caralina. If as your avatar shows, you are from North Caralina, then that would be 3 or 4 states over. If your not from North Caralina, then I'm all wet.
I am not sure but I think you would have to take off the present cover and replace it with a complete drop box assembly that you will see on list 47 of the 2310 parts manual. You would also need a driveshaft and cover. The hard part would be adding the front drive gear that goes on the rear...
the plug for the 336 has an o-ring groove, purpose is for not squashing the o-ring. https://fredricksequipment.com/product/drain-plug-oil-m10-dp-112/
I am lacking on credentials but do believe any of the Harbor Freight o-ring kits would be good for motor oil. All this just an opinion, please...
I have an old 2008 CT235 with 2251 hours on it. Been running this since 2015. Have put right at 1000 hours on it since I bought it in 2015. Probably not recommended. Just stating what I use...
My CT235 will crank first turn in 25 degree weather after holding glow plugs till light goes out. I had 2251 hours last oil change. Something not right with yours. If getting a good spin with starter I would check and make sure glow plugs are working.
I think yours is plumbed without power beyond as a good portion of these old Yanmars are. May not be ideal but is working for lot's of folks. Just straight through loader valve from pump, then outlet from loader valve right back to 3 point control valve.
My thought on possible 3 point cylinder...
I can not be sure about where the hoses go on your setup but if the two hoses with the quick disconnects go to the suction and discharge of the pump you need to know if that discharge quick connect ever gets disconnected with the engine running your pump will be immediately dead headed.
If...
Raise 3 point with load, kill engine, close lock valve and see if or how fast the 3 point goes down. All this with loader down. This should tell you if your 3 point lift piston and seal are in good shape.
If it ran fine this morning I have to wonder why the radiator is dry. What model? Not enough info on tractor or different implements to estimate a price. 2 or 4 wheel drive?
If you run your tractor in the 1000 pto speed with a rotary mower or some such you need to slow engine speed to around 1400 or you may be slinging mower blades.
Injection pump removal requires taking inspection cover #7 off to remove pin from governor to pump. Be careful with linkage not to damage something. GEAR_CASE: Yanmar Tractor Parts

I would feel very confident the one Hoyes shows will be a good fit for you. Too fine a mesh in the hydraulic filters can cause premature plugging. You can have confidence in the one they sale having the right internals.
Don't think there are any free workshop manuals out there for the 186. This 169 manual has about the same engine but different transmissions. you can download it here. Box
Likely you'll get more opinions so take mine with a grain of salt. Your climate I would think 10w40 would be a good choice. Don't know what stores you have in Hi, if you have a tractor supply the Traveler brand hydraulic/transmission choice is a good one. I have used it in both Yanmar and also...
the tilt or vertical will have to rotate to allow it to come off. Might be able to get a spud wrench partially thru the line up holes in order to help free it up. Example of what I am talking about, just a prying tool, could be a bar...
If you have changed nothing and installed it on your new tractor the same as old then I suspect this 1/4"plug is your problem.
They make them in steel also but whatever material this is what you need...
I think your 3110D is very similar to the 336D. Might look at the drain plugs shown in the parts pdf. ;#6 figure 51, #47 figure 58, #6 figure 56. Sight tells me file is to big to process so go here to download. Box
When I added my extensions I first used 1/4" plate with no reinforcement. After getting out in my rocky ground and bouncing it around some I then added a little more reinforcement. The further you go out the stronger your addition will need to be. Not hard to cut a drive shaft off but it is sure...
I can only guess if the loader was working correctly on you old tractor then it was likely plumbed correctly. However, loaders can be plumbed with or without power beyond. If your old loader had 7 lines coming off the control valve then it was plumbed with power beyond. If six lines then plumbed...
I am assuming it all worked as suppose to a few months back? Fluid in great shape includes clean suction strainer? Is it plumbed like this? Yanmar Tractor Loader Install Instructions
I am supposing bmavericks comment about 3 wheel drive was a joke. At least he put a winking mojie on it. The oppisite wheel won't pull anything if gears are missing in bad side.
Not that it has anything to do with buying or not, but first thing I noticed is front wheels are in wide stance. Not recommended, especially with front end loader.
never been in one like yours but I think to remove the axle you have to pull the pto unit to access a bolt that holds the big bull gear on. That allows the axle shaft to come out. Not sure that pulling the pto unit might be your best move. Pretty much anything you do in the rear end is going to...

the little lever Maverick circled in his first picture is the drop speed lever. Depending on setting as to how fast the lift goes down. Might read this also. Yanmar Tractor Parts:
I'm thinking your 2500 is pretty much identical to the John Deere 850. If so, you might need to make an adjustment at #32 locknuts and also check and make sure your idle spring and ball are in place (#4 & 5). Then might need to adust locknuts #23 with a little more tension.
the action may be...
with your 3 point in up position, close your lock valve and see if it still drifts down. If so, lift piston o-ring likely bad. If not, control valve or relief valve likely leaking by.
Assuming you are aware your main hydraulic pump does not affect your power shift. The power shift has it's own...
So it meant to just slide it in some to disengage on inside? I do find it interesting parts don't show a gasket but repair manual does. If it cover has not moved "at all" then I would guess sealant has it stuck.
I don't know the answer but the last step on this page says slide the shifting arm out. Only way that arm will come out is to the inside. It would appear the lift cover would have to come off to access. Don't take my word for it.
You probably know your part number for the housing is 195100-14110. The bearing is a 6207. Most use double seal for the application. [1-Pack] 6207-2RS-C3 - Deep Groove Radial Ball Bearing 35mm x 72mm x 17mm (ID x OD x Width) Double Rubber Seal Clearance C3: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific

Only an opinion. I think you will end up splitting it to correct the problem. I would split, then order parts needed. Not understanding why clutch works in 3rd and 4th and not in 1st and 2nd.
Wouldn't be simple to replace the ones in that pump housing. I suppose that might help with assurance of no leak at those lines but that would sure get expensive. I hate being a parts changer. May have to be.
Sorry for not updating, I did receive my endoscope but I was unable to find the source of the leak. I use my tractor to much in the summer time to warrant taking it apart. I am just going to add fluid as needed, at least thru the summer and fall. Come winter we will see how it goes. I am leery...
probably wrong but spring #37 looks external to me. Wonder if it could be #9 or #27 here. Shows there should be 3 ea of them. 4 wheel drive knowledge is important. This model noted for ring gear and pinion problems.
I have been running tractor supply's Traveler brand in mine for several years with no problems. https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/traveller-premium-universal-tractor-trans-hydraulic-fluid
Welcome to the forum. I sold my 2002D several years ago and let the parts manual go with it. The 220/226 repair manual is the closest you will find for the 2002D. These manuals are available to be purchased and are pricy. Although it is only a guess on my part I have come to believe the suffix P...
Thanks again. I have ordered a cheap endoscope to hopefully diagnose just where the leak is inside the housing. I have been able to determine it only leaks when the tractor is running and a drop every few seconds. Would be nice to know whether it is a shaft seal, gasket, or just what before...
Amvcane, can you direct me to the thread associated with that picture of the shambled tractor. I searched some to no avail. Thought there might be more info there for pondering. Thanks
My 2008 CT235 has been leaking fluid out the bottom opening of the hydrostat motor case for quite a while but slowly getting worse. Reading the manual and looking at part drawings would lead me to believe the motor has a seal leaking. The motor has numerous seals and I am very Leary of tearing...
Harbor Freight has both Metric and inch o-ring kits. They do come in handy but I can tell you years of experience has proven there are lot's of applications these kits will not supply.
Could be, I think there are several identical relays on your tractor, might try swapping them out for testing. Does it die immediately when the key is released from the crank position? Have you checked fuses?
I too have the CT235, bought it used with 1300 hours, now has 2200, still running strong. Changed loader cylinder seals, set valves on it once, change filters and fluids as specked out. It is a work horse.
likely lift piston o-ring but you can close the stop valve with engine off to veryfy. If it continues to go down with valve closed it would likely be the o-ring.
I believe your fill point in on top of the 3 point rock shaft housing right behind the seat. I would suspect their would be a dipstick somewhere on the back, probably down lower. Or possibly a sight glass back there.
By checking the driveshaft you can eliminate transmission drop box and driveshaft. I believe tractorernie was suggesting you need to assure power is actually getting to your front axle.
Your pto shift lever is mounted on the end of the differential lock shaft. It is suppose to turn freely on that shaft. Yours is locked up on it. Penetrating oil, light bumps with hammer should free it up. There should be a grease fitting on the pto shift lever, may not have been greased in a...
Yes, sleeves are nice. Also interesting your 2610 and the 2500 have a version of the 3t80 engine. Those suffixes on engine model numbers have a lot of meaning, including hp differences.
Maybe just a bad sending unit. My CT235 pegs out when I turn the lights on, never figured out why. I just don't worry about it and other than sometimes loading it in the dark I never use the lights. If your temp gun is not indicating overheating when the gauge pegs out then no worry but I'm sure...
I see there are two different options for the 8tl. I am familiar with the wire ring retainer version but not the spanner wrench type. Does the nut have this type of nut or something similar? J.W. Winco GN 1804.1 Slotted Spanner Lock Nuts, Steel, with Polyamide Insert, Zinc Plated, M15 X 1
About a 300 rpm speed is needed for compression check. A good starter and battery should provide that. Probably did but might pull all three injectors while checking one cylinder at a time.

Most factory installed loaders that are quick disconnect the valve stays on the tractor. Therefore the reason for having disconnects on the 4 loader lines. Different manufacturers have different ways on fastening the valve on the tractor. On my old 2002D it had a Bulldog quick connect loader but...
Trying to help my neighbor. His TN70A pto engagement lever will move far enough to engage the pto which is just a small part of the travel the lever should have. Of course it will not stay in gear with no more movement than that and he doesn't want to try running it by holding it in gear. I can...
No big deal but getting a good read on my hydraulic dip stick has always been a bit of a mystery to me. If my tractor has been sitting a long time I can pull it out and there may not be anything on the stick. I can put it back in and one side might show at the add mark and the other side about...
not mine but belongs to neighbor. He has changed fuel filter, bled at injectors, fresh fuel, air filters clean. Will idle but won't accelerate. lot's of white smoke. Wondering if it could be turbo problem? :confused3:Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thought I might show what is behind the cover right under the steering wheel. 4 bolts to be taken off with a 10mm socket. My power steering hose from pump to hydraulic block had a hole rubbed in it. I guess it took about 10 years to happen. I have it out and waiting for Monday hoping to have a...
Lift will maintain any setting with big load as long as engine speed is somewhat above idle. Problem is the lift will go down in seconds when clutch pushed in or engine killed. I pulled side covers and observed when turning key off there was no fluid leaking out of the lift piston so I pretty...
Would think yours would look like this. Should have 4 range shift speeds. Also, if you have the grandma lever (the one to the right in picture from the range handle) make sure it has not moved.
Went with trailer to look at this but came home without it. Way worse than pictures. Tree growing up through it, steering wheel broke off, no fuel tank cap, no cover on exhaust, etc, etc. Tiller just as bad. No doubt probably worth more than $300. Maybe Aaron will see it and come pick it up...

Some of the models do have a red light that comes on and goes off after a period of time. My old 2002D had that but it quit after a period of time. Thermostart sill worked. Red light to the left of switch. Also notice the little light for the work area.
My understanding is and also my experience with having had one of these plumbed in on my old 2002d is that there should be no flow to the sump unless using the loader valve. If you are activating the loader valve and blocking the sump return with a pressure gage then you might read pressure but...
