Used wood splitter, I've been had....

I just picked up a used "Performance Built" (Lowes) 13 ton wood splitter. No wear on it, it's been sitting in the back of a guys workshop for years, unused (he bought it as a backup)(he said). Fluids are as clean as new. Started right up, ram actuates and returns. Drove it home, put in a 6"...

L3200/3800: here's the KEY to an annoying problem....

Well somebody at Kubota should be ashamed. The itty-bitty depth preset knob for the 3-pt. lever on the L3200/3800 is, to put it gently, a JOKE. They might as well have left it off as it's not usable without a pair of pliers. No, I do NOT have weak hands; quite the opposite. I removed the tiny...

Landscape fabric question; what is this, how is it used?

I'm in the middle of grading and prepping an area for planting grass. I have some very nice screened topsoil that I want to spread over this prepped area so the grass seed has good soil to grow in. Because this ground slopes to a new trench for drainage, I'm concerned about this topsoil...

    In remembrance of my son.

We lost him 5 years ago, today. His name was Charles, but everyone called him Chas, or Chazzy. A car killed him when he tried to cross the street. She was texting. He was 16, I was 44. I'm so much older now. Much older. Here's to sons, and to the love and joy they bring to our lives.

Does the L3200HST make enough power for driving with loader and hoe mounted?

This is rephrasing the question from my other thread: Regarding L3200 HST power and loader work.... L3200HST OWNERS: how much weight do you carry and do you find yourself wanting more power? I'll be mounting a Woods BH80-X backhoe onto either an L3200 or L3800 for doing clearing/dirt work...

Regarding L3200 HST power and loader work....

At this point I believe I have decided on trading up to an L3200, HST. My main uses will be clearing and digging work, ie., FEL digging and hauling, dragging my 6' boxblade and rake, pulling a middle buster, using my backhoe. I will also be mowing with a 5' finish mower, which doesn't worry me...

L3200 vs Boomer 30: features and details, other comments?

It seems to me that the Boomer 30 has some excellent features, but the detail that catches my eye is the easy access on the right side. Tires  Don't buy a tractor with Titan Tires on it!!!!

I don't know your warranty details, but somebody should have taken care of you better. I've had Titans on the back of my L2800 for six years now and aside from some wear, they're holding up fine. You might consider small claims court to get more out of the raw deal.

Opinions on tractor weight for finish mowing

If you were going to be doing regular finish mowing, what's the max weight you'd want your machine to be? Assume normal varied (wet and dry) conditions, running turfs, rear mower and no loader. My concern is impact on the lawn, ie., tire marks.

The LA463 and LA524 are very similar in specs so I suspect there will not be a noticeable difference between the two in actual use. Since the LA463 fits the new machines and is so close in specs to the LA524, I'm not sure why Kubota introduced the 524. Can anyone comment on this? A Kubota...

I looked at and sat on a Mahindra 4010-HST last night. Dealer was closed, so I didn't get a chance to run it. Trading my L2800 gear for L3800 HST... opinions on dealer offer?

Ok, so I'm back to work these days and have decided that at age 50 I don't care for doing FEL/boxblade work or mowing with a non-synchro shuttle trans and trans driven PTO. I'm looking to get a machine in the same weight and HP range, with a live PTO and HST, that will also handle my BH80-X...

My L2800 loader and hoe onto a new L3200?

That's the question. Does anyone know if the 463 loader and sub frame-mounted backhoe from my L2800 will bolt onto a new L3200 or L3800? I want HST and a live PTO for easier lawn mowing and dirt work. Kubota's 0%/60 is attractive and this seems like a good time to make a change.

How to "unload" your loaded rear tires?

My rear tires are loaded with methanol.
