    Texas Fall/Winter thread!

I checked in on it several times, used my welding helmet and dialed in the perfect intensity.

Bastrop is technically both, not sure if that is where he is, but it is true.

It looks like everyone you know is eating duck for the holidays. :D That is awesome of you to rescue them, and Eddie.

    Texas Spring/Summer Thread

We are doing good, wishing we had more rain. Though we did get about an inch from all of the storms around us lately. I have not cut the grass once here this year.

    Texas Spring/Summer Thread

I was a member of the Cloudcroft FB group for years. They did a survey of the members and I believe it was 86% of them moved there full time from Texas. It would be very amusing to me to see just how many people living statewide in NM came there from Texas. :D

My Place: a CAT, Mahindra, and Ducks

She was cleaning out the bed of her truck, slipped when getting out of the bed and it snapped. She went down and then the EMS got to pick her up and give her a ride to the E.R. Five weeks in a wheel chair, she got the OK to put weight on it last week. She is recovering nicely.

My Place: a CAT, Mahindra, and Ducks

Things have been good, more busy than I want to be in this heat. Toni broke the orbital plateau on her right knee, had to have more screws and a plate to repair that so I have had 100% of the animal and garden duties here. She is up to minimal weight bearing on it now and the Doc expects a...

    TODAY'S GUN TIME

James, you are a lot better shot than I am. My best friend and I have been working on our range for a couple of years now. A couple weeks ago we put up a 7' tall backstop with railroad ties. We took the opportunity to test it out since we have not shot any in months. When we were done I had...

    TODAY'S GUN TIME

I almost got in trouble yesterday, I almost came home with a Ruger Precision Rifle, 24" barrel chambered in 6.5. Creedmore. Toni would have killed me, I am going to drop some hints to Santa. :D Does anyone have one?

    Ariens log splitter

It is time to buy a log splitter, I am considering the Ariens 917002. I am not married to this splitter and would be willing to look at any others people think are better. I think I would prefer a tow behind as opposed to a 3 point tractor driven one. My neighbor and I will share this...

    Vaulted Ceiling Question.

I am in the middle of framing out the interior of a 24x24 metal building with 14' walls. This will be our guest house and I am finding difficulty on how to frame the ceiling. There is a 12x24 loft with 7' ceilings underneath. The other 12x24 space will be an open vault. My original plan was...

    Ford 1700 price

Hello Everyone, I have been using TBN for research for several months now and this place is awesome. I am currently looking at a Ford 1700 4WD with FEL, 4' shredder, galvanized box blade and 16' trailer package for a little over 7k. Tractor has had steering box recently rebuilt and the paint...

    New to TBN

Hello, my name is Jack, I am a 50 year old man who is new to farming after a long career in the lumber industry, and working on my first tractor experience since I was a kid working on a 70's vintage Satoh 650G. This forum has been an amazing resource for me in my research for the past few...
