For loader work I like to have the bush hog unless I am working in close quarters. The bush hog creates more stability because the weight is further than my tiller or box blade.

Congratulations. You picked a great tractor. If you plan to operate in rough terrain protect the very soft underbelly and the front grill. I installed a skid plate not long after I got my 5460 but like a dummy I waited to install a grill guard after I had grill and hood damage.

You have to have something on the back or at least loaded tires when doing any loader work. It is night and day difference in the feel on my tractor when I use the loader with nothing hang off the back compared to the feel with a rear implement.

On my previous tractor, Mahindra 2615, the vent somehow got clogged. I ran a wire through the vent and no more issues.

Yes both containers are 4 to 6 inches off the ground.

I let my tractor run for about 30 seconds then I easy the throttle up and begin to move the tractor. I don’t do any real work or run the RPMs up for a couple of minutes.

I changed career paths at 28 just after my oldest daughter was born. I took a pay cut but was able to be there for my kids more and at work less. 21 years later I know I made the right choice.

What works for me is a pistol grip grease gun with the rigid pipe. I can grease with one hand and wipe the zerks with the other hand. I have a separate grease gun with a flexible hose for the few places I need it. I can grease 95% of the fittings on all my stuff with the rigid pipe grease gun.

You have been given very good advice. The key as you said is to take it slow with the FEL. Also remember grease is the friend of your FEL. Grease often when using the loader hard.

I have several Purdy brushes that have been used for years. One brush is over twenty years old and I still use it. I only use Latex paint. As you stated the key to the life of a brush is to clean it after use.

I think your grapple and the Wildkat have a similar design (see photo). Your grapple may be made of heavier tubing.
