    Massey 2635 questions

My local JD dealer has a MF2635 with DL250 loader coming in on trade. It is a 2018 model with 12xx hrs. What can y'all tell me about them? I know the earlier models had awful reviews what about the late models? What is a fair price?
  2. G

    5090E value

Yes, good idea. I'm struggling with that because the prices are all over the place. Is there a way to see what things are actually selling for?
  3. G

    5090E value

I'm thinking about selling my JD5090E due to getting rid of my livestock. It is a 19 model with 12xx hrs, 4x4, open station, 24x12 trans, 540m loader, oversize tires from deere(don't remember the size). How can I find out what it's worth?

What to dig post holes with in rock?

I will and do use t-post but I still have to have some wood post for gates and corners. I typically do rent a compressor and drill to put t-post in. I have thought about hiring it done but am normally of the mindset to do it myself and use that money to buy more tools.
  5. G

What to dig post holes with in rock?

Haven't heard it called that before. I have a couple of them and they have put a lot of post in the ground, both digging and tamping. They don't do anything in blue limestone.
  6. G

What to dig post holes with in rock?

Makes since. Do you use these for corner or gate post also?
  7. G

What to dig post holes with in rock?

8-9" posts. Some of mine start rock on top of the ground, some are a foot down before it starts. I have rented skid steer augers when I have a few to do and like it. All the ones I've rented have dirt augers. I just want to make sure that one will do the job before I invest that much money
  8. G

What to dig post holes with in rock?

I'm not sure what that is
  9. G

What to dig post holes with in rock?

That doesn't really work for me because I need to do a few here and there. But yes, that is the best option to get the job done
  10. G

What to dig post holes with in rock?

I have a JD5090E tractor. I'm trying to find the right attachment to dig my post holes. I hand dig most of mine but I'm unable to get some down due to solid rock, TN blue limestone. I know it's probably better to get a rock drill and jack hammer but, due to a back injury, I can't run the jack...

    Batwing mower

I've only been around a few brands. I try not to tie myself to only my knowledge. Older hands with more experience have saved me in the past. Parts availability is a huge problem with some brands. A notorious problem on a certain brand that is covered up or currently correct is not something I...

My intention is to buy more land. All bushhogging is for myself or my dad. I am capable of working on/rebuilding, as I have multiple times. What is the benefits of a flail over a bushhog?
  17. G

    5090e

Do you have a link to the WR one? I know the JD one adds another valve inline, so I would assume it would rob flow when trying to do multiple things at once.
  18. G

    5090e

I did look on JD parts. Couldn't find exactly what I needed.

I have a three point 8' bushhog that covers my tracks(I plan to keep it) but I'm ready to upgrade to a batwing. I think I want a 15'. My finances decided it will be used, lol. Makes since. Bush hogging, loader work, disc, and winter feeding. I probably have too large of a tractor but plan for more acreage and I’ve tried the smaller frame tractors and have never been satisfied.

    5090e

Thanks. What’s the story behind the short exhaust?
  25. G

    5090e

There is one more set of holes that I could bolt that plate out farther but my hoses are too short to do that. The loader came with different hoses, but they are way too long.

Thanks for the pictures, that helps. My tractor came with everything including the bottom half of the SP connector. I picked up my loader today. 540M with third function. It was ordered but not used for a different model so some of the brackets are a little different. I chose to mount it myself, since I currently don't have a way of hauling the tractor. It does not have the single point connector, but my...

I’m not sure if the rear tires are loaded or not. I would like more info on the heavy hitch. It came with front weights, which I could move to the back. So far, I like the tractor. The 24 speed and power reverser are awesome. I do plan to get the 540. I don’t believe I want the MSL, just...

I recently purchased a 175 (1972 model per the serial number). It has the perkins diesel and an eight speed transmission. Well, I passed on the 165 but did find a 175 with 4800hrs on it. It has power steering but only works one direction. Is that adjustable? It looks like it is. It is leaking around the shaft. There was a thin metal plate, where rubber on the back side, that I removed before I took the first picture. It had oil behind it as soon as I stuck the pick in to work it off. Is that thin piece of metal the seal or just the dust shield? I didn't want to do a...

    Kubota M series dash removal

I was able to remove the shields around the steering column and access enough for lubing. I lubed all the linkage points and the cable(couldn't get much in but sprayed and moved it). I think the reason for my problems has to do with the rubber boot being dry-rotted and torn.

The cable seems easy enough to access, probably have to drop the tank. I may try to lube it first. 4x4 works correctly, hi/low seems correct. PTO had a slight chatter noise when I engaged it at idle but went away, not sure if it is anything or the canopy(canopy made similar noises at other...
