Bought a new ZD1611 ZTR... overheated.

My Zero turn is quite old, it’s also quite loud, I only cut with hearing protection, not sure I’d hear an alarm if it had one. Are these newer machines quiet enough that you don’t wear hearing protection, or is the alarm if it works very loud?

Neighbor offered a red oak that came down during a storm, he had it cut into 12’-14’ logs. Three totes split so far, and I don’t think I’ve even split 1/3 of what I brought home. He said there’s another one on the ground in another location if I want it. I’m going to need more totes!

    I Thought I Could Smell a Mouse

Wow Gordon, that’s enough to piss you off I’m sure. I had to remove the plastic engine dress up cover on our Honda Pilot. Mice seen to be invited into its space. Now they tunnel under the hood insulation, guess I need to remove it next. Vehicle stays parked inside my pole barn/garage.

What did you buy this week?

Bought this today. Chased down a p0171 code on the wife’s 05 Accord, intake boot was torn causing a vacuum leak and a lean condition. Cost about $50 and it was actually in stock locally. Great car, rarely gives us any problems.

Branson 3510 (2004) lost hydraulics (three point and front end loader)

Mine was the same, the way the shaft failed it created a lip and misalignment of the shaft/gear locking things together. In my case the ps pump did come off. The hydro was a battle and I did some extra damage getting it off.

I started with a century 110 mig, then a Lincoln 110 mig, and a few years ago bought a Hobart 210 MVP, it will weld 110v MiG or 220v mig, it’s a bit of an investment, but it works really well for me. What did you do with your Chinese baby digger today?

If you strap a lawnmower to your mini ex,…ya might be a redneck… Needs some changes, wheels need to go and skids added, this was an old bagger only mower I had with a bad motor. I picked up a harbor freight replacement and welded a frame/mount. (I have the quick attach). It probably needs a side...

Branson 4020 Fuel shut off on solenoid pull in

On my Branson 3510, the shutoff solenoid’s rubber boot was shot. It limited the movement of the shutoff solenoid, the plunger was extending too far. I used a couple of zip ties to limit the extension after researching and finding the cost of a new solenoid $$$.

7845 Branson, turns over but will not start.

Check the PTO and seat safety switches, if applicable. My 3510 had a fuel shutoff at the IP, the rubber boot dry rotted which allowed it to overextend and then it wouldn’t retract with the ignition. I actually fixed it with zip ties to limit the overextension. On mine if you turned the key to...
