Kubota L5740, adding a mini loader valve to control rear implements

Looking like all of the loader valve lines are hard piped, so teeing into one of those will be cute. I’ve been reading, seems others have had issues trying to find a place to return to tank on the 40 series grands. The only successful story I can find is a guy running a laser grader blade, he...

Kubota L5740, adding a mini loader valve to control rear implements

I really appreciate you pointing this out to me. I assumed it was returning to tank, not feeding the 3ph and factory rear remotes. I have been using it this way for about a year, using the remotes and 3ph all the time. Surprisingly no issues with the valve block or the outlet on the valve...

Kubota L5740, adding a mini loader valve to control rear implements

Hard to see, but it's the line feeding the silver long sweep silver 90 degree elbow, which has a large banjo fitting on the end of it. I'm trying to verify by looking at hydraulic circuit diagrams, can't be certain, but I think you may be correct in that this is feeding the 3PH.

Kubota L5740, adding a mini loader valve to control rear implements

That pic is of my current setup, and I have been using it this way. The solenoid valve bank in the picture is the last valve in that circuit, and the tank port goes directly to tank. I’m not feeding any other valves currently, which is why I’m not using the PB outlet. All I did was use the...

Kubota L5740, adding a mini loader valve to control rear implements

Unique hydraulic question for the group. On my L5740, I have added a 4 spool electric solenoid valve body plumbed into the backhoe hydraulic loop, and I also have 2 factory remotes. I am looking to add a compact loader valve with float function, it will be a great way to control 2 separate...

I will keep it inside for sure. I don't "need" it, I have 30HP and 60HP utility tractors, but I am a self admitted equipment junky. It seems there are a bunch of guys here with compact and larger tractors, that say they use their little PT's more than they do their larger tractors, due to how...

He is telling me he is the second owner and it came with the fan missing. Seemingly, he didn’t even realize one should be there, unless he’s full of it. So, it has definitely been used without the hydro cooling fan, but no way of telling if it has been used hard. I suppose if it was not...

425 - model year changes and price check

By looking at the pics in the ad, can either of you tell if only the fan is missing, or if the rad is also gone? If it’s only the fan, I feel like someone broke it and was too lazy or cheap to replace it. If the rad is gone as well, then that’s a whole other potential story. This is a...

Forks Titan Attachments pallet forks quality?

Oh, and their customer service is a joke, they have no knowledge of what they're selling. I've now owned two sets of Titan pallet forks, 2500 and 4000lb ratings. Both sets don't stand up to my version of real world abuse, the rails that the forks slide on get tweaked easily. I've learned my lesson, I'll be buying an American made set the next go around.

    Anybody use Titan shrub puller

I recently sold a Titan brand puller. It worked well, I pulled out 100's and 100's of invasive trees. As mentioned, visibility is a big issue on the FEL of a tractor. On my 30HP Mahindra, I can easily stand up from the seat and still operate the controls well. The fit and finish is typical...

Adding a hydraulic sickle / flail mower to L5740

Good info. My plan was to have my wife drive the tractor, and I'd be in the backhoe seat. It would save a lot of time over hopping on and off the backhoe. Still this would not be overly productive, but in my mind way easier and more productive than running a hand held weed eater on the banks...

Skid loader splitter on farm tractor

agreed, most tractors 50hp and up seem to put out 10 gpm per minute, at 2600 plus psi. The tractors pump is single stage. Compare that to most box store splitters, 11gpm 2 stage (shifts down to about 3 gpm when the splitting gets tough). Your actual cycle speed may very well be quicker with...

Light To Medium Duty Flail Mower Advice!

From everything I have read and experienced with my 8' Rhino flail with huge, heavy hammers: you will get as good if not better of a finish cut with hammers than with grass knives. Skid loader splitter on farm tractor

I'm thinking it would be really slick to be able to use attachments front or rear and all use the skid steer QA style. For example being able to use QA forks or a snow blade front or rear would be handy. I have only been able to find two companies that make these: QA_CAT1_3PT_TO_SS Change...

    Grapple  Sideways clamping grapple?

I have been searching but cannot find anything on this. I am envisioning something like this: Barrel Grapple for Reach Forklift | eBay Obviously much lighter duty, and it would mount to a QA plate. It would give me the ability to grab very large rounds of wood to be able to get them into my...

    3016HST, what options to add?

I may be purchasing a 3016HST with ML115 loader and a skid steer QA bucket. I am curious what options exist for it, besides cab / canopy and attachments like mowers, backhoe, etc. Dealer told me the rear remote is around $600, and it includes a control handle? He wasn't really sure what that...

    3016HST price check

Here is a pic of the quote from today. He told me something to the effect that the financing calculator would not let him put in 16,400, so he had to put in 17,400 and use an extra 1000 on top of my 1400 down shown as the down payment plus trade in. He also did not put in sales tax. It reads...

    3016HST price check

I found a 3016HST w/ industrial tires and skid steer QA front bucket at a somewhat local dealer. It's Bearcat Tractor in Harrisburg, PA. Salesman tells me over the phone he has sold Mahindras for 8 years, and will continue to stock parts, service them, order new tractors, but not stock...

3016HST, strong enough to replace a dedicated TLB?

Here is my situation. I currently own an early 2000's Terramite T5C TLB. It weighs a little more than 3000 lbs and can pick up 1700 according to the specs. It is absolutely unrefined but has been a tough little machine. You can literally stand on the hood or fenders, heavy gauge metal...

    Source for Kohler 20HP muffler

Curious if there would be another source for a replacement muffler for my 94 T5C with the 20HP Kohler? I am thinking it is machine specific, but hoping I am wrong.

1996 Terramite T5C front end tierods

So I am going to attach of pic of what mine look like. I believe my tractor is about a 2003, so perhaps they changed the parts. But, it definitely sits on top and bolts from the bottom. These do not have grease zerks and have rubber boots on them.

No power steering on a Terramite

I am digging into an issue with a new to me Terramite T5C. It has power steering via a 2 way hydraulic cylinder. The steering column goes directly into a steering box, with 4 hydraulic lines coming off of it. 2 go to the steering cylinder, 2 go to the hydraulic pump. It feels like I have no...

    Loss of power steering T5C

I just picked up a t5c with a factory 3 point instead of a hoe. It has been rode hard and put away wet but seems to be mostly minor issues. The biggest is the power steering, there isn't any. Past owner tells me as the machine really warms up it gets easier to steer. It steers as hard with the...

Terramite with a 3 point hitch and no hoe?

Just ran across this. I am assuming it is home made, but wanted to see if anyone knows anything... 2002 Terramite T5C Tractor with front loader The thought of having a high capacity three point hitch with the super strong loader is appealing.

T5C owner, anyone added a QA adapter, aux hydraulics?

Very happy owner of a T5C here. I am seeking ways to make this machine even more versatile. Has anyone set up a T5 with a quick attach bobcat style front bucket? My thought is I would lose a little bit of lift capacity.... but I could run forks only instead of clipping into my bucket, run...

    Any T9 owners here?

I am a happy owner of a T5C, but I have been itching for a little more FEL capacity, both weight and volume. I am surprised at what a T5c can lift, but my is the bucket small. I also have an old Vermeer articulated loader. My thought was sell both and find a good used T9. Anyone on here who...

    MF Work Bull 202

I might go look at a MF 202 for sale locally. Looks like it has a 3 pt and a MF 200 loader. What is the approximate weight of these machines? What kind of lift capacity and dump height do they have? Any idea of top speed in high gear? Looking to move a lot of dirt, and be able to lift full...

Need beastly brush cutter, Tanaka any good?

I am in the market for a powerful bicycle handle brush cutter. I have large areas of very thick grass, weeds, small trees and my 21cc Echo trimmer isn't cutting it. I really like Husky products but ran into the Tanaka for what I consider a very good price: Upstate Power Power Equipment |...

    Waldon 5000 loaders

Curious if anyone has any experience with Waldon articulated loaders? I ran into some for sale on craigslist, like this one here: Waldon Loader It seems like the 5000 series would be what I am after. Curious if they are a suitable replacement for a skid steer? Or if they have the hydraulics...

    T5C larger front bucket?

Curious if a larger front bucket is available or could be adapted to the T5? I move a lot of dirt and it seems there is plenty of lift power for anything I can put in it. I am fairly confident it has the power to utilize a larger bucket. ANy experience / ideas? I have also kicked around the...

    T5C run a log splitter?

So I have a T5C that I have been very impressed with. For it's size it has very good power. Is there a way to plumb into the hydraulics to power a log splitter? I am always looking for creative ways to use the Terramite, and have been considering a log splitter. I know they sell units meant...

    Creating a Terramite forum

I wanted to see what the process would be to have a Terramite forum created. I feel there is a lot of information scattered about the forums, and on other websites. There is no dedicated place to post questions or find information. I feel there are enough owners and would be owners out there...

Terramite T5, are they really that bad?

I am in the market for a used sub 4000 lb loader/backhoe. I have a lot of grading and trenching to do, good deal of earth moving. I understand there are much bigger and better units for these jobs, ie a skid loader and a mini ex. But, I have a limited budget and will have lots of free time to...

PT 425 for sale in classifieds

I saw the PT 425 in the classifieds, also see it on craigslist. It's got 2500 hours!!! He wants $3250 for it. Question, is there any life left in a unit with this many hours? I don't normally see gas engines lasting that long. It does look clean in the pics. Can I still get attachments for...

New PT-425's; have the bugs been worked out?

I have been reading about Power Tracs, mainly the PT-425's for quite a few hours the past few days. I ran into them while researching Steiners and Ventracs. The versatility and somewhat cheap attachments are what have me leaning towards the PT-425 heavily. I have about 3 acres of mostly flat...
