Yes your 1st photo is the main hyd pump. If your tractors SN is after 045199 then the pump in your photo supplies hyd pressure for it's power steering

Ok got it.

Man those pumps are not cheap. Like at all. Is there a rebuild or some process like that? etc.?

It doesn't seem very difficult to change out though? I will also do the rubber bushings that connect it it to the crank shaft while I am in there.

I have another question for you Tx. Jim and the TBN community.

Please see the pics below of my single rear remote on my 1020.

I have a local shop here in Tacoma that will make you lines at a good price, and while you wait too.

I want to finally add a hydraulic top link and I need to know what type of fitting to get on the two lines to mate with my rear remote ports?

There is also like little levers under each port that you turn that move a cup looking metal piece within each port. What do those do?

I was/am just going to buy the cat. 1 top link from Agristore. See the link below.

Do you happen to have a suggestion on what length link to get? 18"-27"? 16"-22"?

Thanks everyone!!!

You need a Pioneer VP5060-4 hyd tip for 1/2'' NPT hose. Levers under bottom of breakaway coupler control oil flow. Lever turned 90° from straight back turns oil on.

Sweet.

Thank you very much Tx. Jim. I really appreciate your help.

I will go about getting the pieces together and will post an update when I get the top link installed and functioning.

I am excited about this upgraded.

You're welcome. I'll guess shorter center link cyl will be fine BUT that depends on mast orientation of your 3 pt equipment & I presume you don't have any Pat's quick change hooks on your draft links.

I don't really understand what you mean by "mast orientation".

I will just measure my current top link and get a hydraulic one that is as close to my current one as possible. My top link turns and can be elongated or shortened. So I will measure it fully elongated and full shortened?

As for "Pat's quick change hook" I don't think I have anything added to my lift arms?

Please see the pics below I snapped this morning before I left for work.

Angle of mast in relation to draft pins & centerlink attaching point can vary by manufacturer therefore requiring different length center links for some applications. No you have regular draft links IE no Pat's hooks but you might consider acquiring some Cat l to Cat ll bushings for mower draft pins.

Thank you for the reply Tx. Jim.

I am sorry I am so uneducated on all the proper terminology. That being said, are you meaning that my 3pt draft arms, that have the swivel like ball thing at the ends, are for cat. 2 implement pins? Does that also mean my top link, that also has the same diameter swivel ball end things, is in fact cat. 2 size as well?

What do these cat. 1 to cat. 2 look like, how do they attach? To my mower pins or my 3pt draft arms?

What is the need for them exactly?

Also back to the hydraulic top link install specifically.
I will be buying two of the couplings shown in the link below and then the top link shown in the 2nd link.
The hydraulic top link states it is 3/8" NPT. The couplings are 1/2" NPT. So I will need two 3/8" NPT to 1/2" NPT reducers correct? See below.

top link NPT fitting.jpg

Then the two ends of the lines that will go into the hydraulic top link will just have 3/8" NPT fitting on the end that will screw into the link itself?

I posted this before viewing your last post & yepper that's the bushing I was referring to @ 2:15. Cat l to Cat ll bushings simply remove slack between OD of draft pin & ID of draft link ball. JD bushings come in 2 different lengths with an hole for bush orientation & cost more $$$$$. R66432 - Draft Link Conversion Bushing, Cat. II to Cat. I ADD 16.55 USD Yes there are Cat l & Cat ll top links with different size holes with bush available for attaching implement masts.
