1st big snow of 2016 this weekend

We are expected to get another 1/2" tonight, I plowed about 3 1/2 hr's and got the area around my house and my wife's mom's house. The hill is fairly steep and in low place. It was drifted pretty deep. So much snow was coming over the top of the front mounted blade that the front axle would be pushing a pile and then it was hard to back up. there is a fence on each side so there is little room to work it around so I called the neighbor. He will bring his 100 hp tractor and knock it out for me. It is great to have good neighbors. I am VERY pleased with the little Massey. It made me work for it but it did a great job in a huge snow. It just would not handle 100 yds of about 3 1/2' to 4' drifts. I hope all of you have things work out well. Be safe. Ed

As of right now nada, not one single flake in West Charlton N.Y. From the news many thing are shut down in NYC, that's not far from you Rick B. I guess it's the bigger cities turn to receive the massive snowfall. Well I guess it's better to be ready then not.

Actually I hear it has been snowing fiercely as close as 20 miles south of here for several hours. But still not a flake here. Heading out to dinner in the next town shortly.

We have about 28" here in Middletown, Pa. Still snowing and blowing pretty hard. I made a path out of my drive way so I could go to one of my neighbors house to clear his driveway. He has to go to work in the morning so I did it for him. I don't think our back roads will be open in the morning but he has an open driveway. I will do the rest of mine and some other neighbors tomorrow.

We ended up with about 6" here. I'd have go trade in my Mule 600 for a 4wd one if we got this very often. It is supposed to be nearly 50 degrees tomorrow so that will be the end of our snow.
