my service truck is a f150 v6, dash reads 13-14 mpg and has since day one. i did get 15 mpg's once on a long highway drive. my 07 gmc vmax with 4:10 and a 6.0 v8 also gets 13-14 mpg lol

Ecoboost or 3.7 liter? My god how much stuff you hauling in the service truck to get that poor of mileage?

We went back today. Wife just did not care for the Ford. She liked the looks and power of the Tundra better. She looked at several packages, settling on a silver with grey interior. It is a crew cab, 5.7 2wd 4.30 gears. We drove it 65 miles home and were very impressed with the ride. Of course I was lightfooted but it was hard. You can feel the power at your right foot :). It has a 3/4 ton "feel" about it. This is my first toyota but my wifes family had 2 4runners, both no issues. Its dark out now but I will add pics in the morning.

I am a Ford truck guy all the way...
But I like the Toyota also...
I think that either truck would serve anyone well...
I would tend to wait until the year end models go on sale...
All I know is that truck prices are high and my F350 is paid for...

Good choice. I have a 2003 Tundra and all it's needed have been front brakes, and regular oil changes (Mobil1). It is also the most comfortable ride that we own, great on trips!

2013 ecoboost regular cab long bed and she is heavy, camper shell, ladders, and full of goodies. ford quit making the e150 van so the company is saying transit's are our next ride, not sure how that is going to work. i drive about 3k a month pretty much equal highway and city the ford seems to have plenty of power for a v6 but mpg's suck even on a light day. I am a die hard gm man but i do like the inside room of the f150 but thats all i like about it.

Here are some pics. One thing I really like is how the trailer hitch mounts. Unfortunately I could not get a good pic of it. We hit 100 miles right in front of a gas station today getting lunch and decided to fill up. Took 5.2 gallons, 80% highway driving, just over 19 mpg.
