I appreciate everyone's input and for keeping things civil. These truck threads can get chippy at times!!

How long would it take to prove that?
Check out reliability ratings for Ford vs Toyota over the past 20 years... It's already proven.

Amazing! I just went through this entire thread and no doubt about it. Toyota clearly the winner. Wait until all those Ford and GM buyers find out. The party is over. And Toyota hasn't even added the soon to be designed Cummins V-8 diesel. When that happens Ford and GM won't stand a chance. Same with Ram-the old 6.7 Cummins 6 is doomed!
They haven't been making the Tundra for 20 years so how can you check the ratings?
I would not be so sure my friend. I have bought many trucks over the years and hope to be around to buy many more. All of them have been Ford and no Toyota (GM or Dodge) will ever change that.
Nothing wrong with a Toyota, if that's what you like but you will be very wrong to think they impress everyone.
Toyota vs Ford.... I think everyone will agree who is more reliable. This is kinda like arguing about the sky being blue.
I agree. Toyota is a fine truck and I might agree more reliable. On the flip side most reviews show it coming in behind the ford in performance and doing truck duties. Their frame is the weak link and will probably will get updated next go around. Not that the average joe will twist the frame in everyday use but it does make it less capable. The lack of an integrated brake controller I believe got changed for 2014.
