2015 Hay Season

Brandi wasn't bad parts it was the lack of parts on it from the start. Finally got my first cutting done on everything 383 rolls. My brothers 8acres made 31-1/2 not to shabby >

Good to hear you are back running. Good looking, tight bale too.

That's very good, I think 15 4x5's is the most I've got off my 8 acres.

Yeah made 13 last year. These bales are all there too I had to run slow cause the windrows where so tall and thick just so nothing clogged,be safe. The neighbor even stopped over and made a guess of 25,he said I know what you made last year and I believe you will double that.
My brother raked he was having ****,cause it was balling up and he would have to open it then get out and kick it back into windrow. Glad it was him and not me I have had enough bad days, lol. They was up to the bottum of the tractor,my weights was pushing hay.

I will get the part#s for you. No I don't have to turn pto off my belts stop turn once the door is open so much. I'm going to bump my density up some more looks like since got the gators on the splices are going to be okay.

Thanks foreman, yeah I believe my baler completely stops at full open too, during the process it rubs that top guide while rotating so I assume that might be why its wearing the belts a little faster than normal.

There are two adjustable rollers the one on very top and one on top the back gate.

Thanks I'll check it out.

Put the bracket on cylinder slack belts if going to adjust either one,#4 just have to loosen bolt and push or pull it either way need too another wrench can get some leverage hold roller in place while you tighten bolt back up,#3 best if have some rope and weed it threw and under roller so you can pull roller up or let it down some. Both can be adjusted by yourself but nice have someone else around to at least snug bolt up when you have it sent where you won't it. Removing roller to replace bearings I can also tell you what not to DO and the quick easy painless way lol.

Thanks for the info, I'll get my brother to help me adjust them. If I have a bearing go out on the roller I'll definitely jump on here and get your take on it. I had to replace one bearing in the center (triple sprocket with the short chain) already. It wasn't too hard but I was annoyed to have to replace a bearing with under 1500 bales on the clock. I believe two bearings have already been replaced it the balers short working life.

A lot of hay went down last Tuesday and Wednesday - both 1st and 2nd cutting. We had one small window for the first cutting and the guys who did not catch it had to wait til now. It all was off the field by Sunday as rain was forecast for Monday but it actually held off until Tuesday morning and it has been pretty constant since then.

Winter wheat is getting ripe but the fields are very wet - not good wheat weather!

Foreman good to hear your bailer is doing better. I think our 5400 has those parts already. Maybe it was an option for the dealer and they tried saving money.
