2305 Curtis cab

I believe the 2210 and 2305 Curtis cabs are the same. I've had my curtis soft side for 6 years now. Its been a great cab has plenty of room and good visibility.
I did add a radio and a cable operated chute deflector adjuster howdayado.

I didn't like the heat output so I changed the radiator fan to an electric fan with a pwm controller to keep the coolant temp above 180 in the winter.

My brother inlaw has my old garden tractor with a Original Tractor Cab that I put on back in 93. It's held up very well.

Hi Dalejr! If you read the post I send to Diz, the prize and options are there. The first time you install it, it takes about 3 hr. You have to make your first heater and electrical connection and your primary bracket which will stay in place once you removed your cab. I used a pulley attach to the ceiling to removed it and it takes about 1hr to do the job. I stored it back on its original pallet and leave it in my garage for the summer. The bracket to removed it is included with the cab. As for the ac, I don't know, not an option that I needed, but I think they do have it. Check it out on there web site ROPS and Non-ROPS tractor cabs, canopies, and guards for all popular brands - Jodale Perry Corporation . Do I regret it, absolutely not, best moved I made, after my 2305 of course.;)
After a very very quick discussion with my wife, I would like to bring a rectification to my last post. It should have said '' Do I regret it, absolutely not, best moved I made, after my WIFE and then my 2305 of course''. There now I can keep my john deere.:D

Labrat - or anyone else w/ a curtis soft side on a 2210/2305 - any issues w/ the soft rear window? I'm about to order one of these and contemplating the hard rear panel instead of the soft one.

And labrat - not enough heat stock? Did you have your fancy temp gauge in at that point? If so, what was the coolant temp? Since I stole your temp gauge idea, I know I get coolant in the 150s up at 2900 rpms, at least w/ ambient temps in the 40s.

Thanks!

One more thing - anyone have any problems w/ The Green Dealer

I can't find a local dealer willing to budge from full retail on these things, so they are the best option I've found so far.

Diz,

I did go to TSC and buy a couple of fiberglass rods and put them above and below the rear window, when the wind blows it pushes the window into your back.

The idi engines use a 160deg thermostat so the pre chambers in the cylinder heads don't crack. If you start an idi engine and go to full engine load before you get coolant flow the pre chambers can over temp and crack.

I also found that the JD fan moves so much air that it actually super cools the engine block. When the temp drops below 15deg the engine temp won't get above 140deg

I also cut some carpet to put under the seat to block the cold air from coming up through the cutouts for the control levers.

Let me know if you want pics of anything.

Yeah it probably doesn't get down below 0 very often in Japan...

Good call on the fiberglass bows! Thanks Labrat.

Ordered a curtis on Friday, and just got the call - Curtis pushed back ship date to mid-late Jan. So by the time I get it and install it, winter's nearing an end. Sigh.

diz:
I think you'll find it was worth the wait.

Just cleared my driveway for the second time today with the cab/heater on. Temperature hasn't gotten lower than the high 20's F, and we've only gotten about 6" snow, but now, instead of dreading the ordeal, I actually look forward to it!
