I have a small rake that requires 3/4" pins for the lower links. The standard 7/8" ones are too large. Does anyone know of a place to buy these pins?
I'd rather get the pins for $5 than spend $20 for a 1" drill bit that I'll likely never use again.

Tractor Supply has more pins and such than you'll know what to do with. Do you have a local store? If not, any major farm store (Big R, Rural King and others) should have the same. For internet, try searching for Agri-Fab, they make a lot of that sort of stuff.

Agri-Supply has them. Page 56 of the November 2006 catalog. Part # 61508, lift arm pin. Price is $3.79 each. That's more than twice the price of the 7/8" lift arm pins but they're not as common.

Perhaps you'd double check that 3/4" measurement, a Cat 0 lift pin is 5/8" diameter. Cat 1 is 7/8" diameter.
But it may not be as simple as just picking up a set of Cat 0 pins at the farm store. Since there's no tractor info in your profile to reference, I have to ask; what is the inside diameter of the swivel balls on the tractor's lower lift arms?

Scratch my reference to Agri-Fab, Mad has it right with Agri-Supply. Thanks MadReferee!

Obviously most tractor dealers also have a good supply of common size pins.

SIR,
the solution to your problem would be to drill out
the holes, then buy 7/8in pins. please do not drill it
1in, for a 7/8in pin. check your friends, and see if
someone can help you with this. they may have a
proper size drill.
good luck with your projects.

If you use pins too small for your hitch ball ends, would that not damage the balls? Time to buy the bit. Everyone needs a set of big bits.
