Hey thanks guys for the swell comments. I just love those views too. You really have to see them in person though, to get the full impression.

Yeah David, I know what you mean about the guest closets, so that's why they are not giant.

I haven't been up for several weeks now due to the holidays, but I'll be going up this weekend and for New Years. There's been a lot of rain up there (and down here) so I don't know how much more they got done. After all (defective and tommu) I don't have any webcams or anything like that up there.:) And WBWI is right about the interior stuff going slow.

You never want the guest closet to hold more than 3 days worth of clothes!!!! Then again you could put the guest up at your tent city, and send them smoke signals..:) :)

Hahaha, words of wisdom Pat!
Boy, are you ever right about that.

Tom, you will have to get on that steep roof again so I can see you.
But don't wear red because the neighbors will mistake you for Santa Claus.:D

Hi guys,
After all the commotion of burning my Blazer up on New Year's day, we are finally back to normal. In case you didn't know, my Blazer caught on fire and burned up to a crisp.
Some updates on the log home for you.
They are starting to put the metal roof on the home now.

Here is the insulation they used between the two roofs. Also some close ups of the roof line and boxing in the eaves. Their work is pretty good. They should have the entire roof on by next visit up. The windows are coming next week too, and so are the cabinets and floor covering after that.

They started to lay down the sound proof board and plywood over that, getting ready for the wood floors. Loretta chose some kind of Burmese Cherry wood. I think it looks pretty good against the log walls. It should create a nice contrast too.

The interior of the home is a mess of plumbing and electrical wires all over the place. I hope they fix that before we move in.:) They are insulating all of the water circuits in the home.

Although it was mostly pretty cold up there and it rained a lot, we managed to have some down time enjoying ourselves. Wes just loves playing in the mud making little rivers. I'm relaxing by the fire pit at night and Loretta is pictured here at the base of a beautiful Sycamore tree during one of our property hikes. That last photo is our vista when the fog rolls in.
