Hi Shane,
Yes, I have Ad-aware and use it. I think it was a Time Warner problem because my connection is excellent now. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Rob,

Is it too late to talk the builder into re-doing that framing under the stairs?

Either the wall is too far out or the stairs are too narrow. It looks like the wall was an afterthought.

Maybe just my opinion, but that beautiful log staircase should hang out past the wall.

Did Santa leave the the forum any presents of web cams and wireless internet under your tree?:D :D :D

I hope you had a Merry Christmas

I was hoping for 70 degree weather to melt the 1" of ice ans 3" of snow on the road so I can get to my cabin Maybe next weekend?

Rob,

Not necessarily a keener eye. Just worked on enough log homes to spot the little things that look wrong.

Tom,

1" ice & 3" snow? You gotta get a better truck! Wouldn't have stopped me if I still had my place in the bush. One day I hope to go back to spending every Christmass among the trees...

I know what Rob needs to do... Set up a few strategically placed digital cameras programmed to snap a shot every hour. Then whenever he gets the chance he can download the pics & post a time-lapse video of the weeks progress. How about it Rob?

defevtive

I've been in in 8- 10" of snow its the ice that I've slid off and got stuck (even with chains) and the some of the dropoffs ar 40 to 50 ft and woulden't want to slide off those parts.

When I was younger (and less wizer) I got in and had to borrow a dozer to pull me up the hill out of my place that still took a day, till I hiked out to get tractor and drive it back in and drug the bronco up the hill and put the tractor back and hike back to get truck and I dont hike as fast as I use too!!

We have a snowmobile and 4 wheeler the problem is I wont't 4wheelers on road (last time was $200.00 fine) and no snow at bottom for snowmobile

Rob,

Looks like they are making good progress. And the views...man I love your views! Can't wait to see some more pics.

What kind of plumbing will you be using?

Also don't worry about the size of the guest bedroom closet, I usually pack just a couple of suitcases:) .
