Our last trip up was pretty exciting because there was a lot more done on the home.
It was also time to start moving some of my machine shop equipment which I have packed like a can of Sardines in the garage at home. I've got several roll aways loaded with machinist tools and cabinets filled with vises, angle plates and accessories for machining. I've been more concerned with moving the larger machines though. I've got 2 milling machines, a surface grinder and a large lathe to bring up.

Good Evenin Rob,
Looks like the tractor will be gettin some unloading chores up at the new homestead !

BTW if you ever need an old toolmaker to crank some handles ;) :) .....

Scott,
What a blast two old timers like us could have cranking handles together.:) We would rock, I'm sure!
Time to start making tractor stuff now.

Remember what the wood stove and rock looked like last time I posted?
Well, here it is now. Also a shot of the chimney going through the roof. They got the stove assembled and the rock finished. You can see how the rock and wood blend together now. The rock has been sealed so the colors show up a little better. The color of the stove doesn't look too bad now on that rock. We were afraid getting a wild color like that might not work, but I think it looks pretty snazzy. It's no fireplace and huge hearth, but hey, it's for heating right?

I also wanted to some of the lights Loretta picked out for the interior. Some go along with the same theme. Even the huge fans we brought up look pretty good in there. Even the wall sconce lights look good against both the dry wall and the logs. They run up the walls from the basement to the top floor.
I really like what she picked out.

A few more shots of interior progress.
The cabinets still need their hardware to complete them, but Loretta wanted to show her "trash drawer" and corner cupboard.
It's neat what they do these days...less wasted space. Also a shot of her pantry shelves too.
Well, she wanted to show them... :)

These below are of the tile work they're doing in the master bath. It is not done of course, but we are going with and off color and those little black individual pieces as the trim on the shower walls and also the main bathroom floor. However on the shower floor, the pattern is reversed where most of it will be the little black dudes and some slight trim with the off color tile. Those little nubs feel great on your feet, like a massage ... we checked that out.

I'm sure all this will look ten times better when it's finished and cleaned up, but we wanted to share what they've done so far.

Rob, everything is looking great!! What are you going to charge for tours of that mansion? Are you the tour guide? Really shaping up, I'm sure you'll love it after you get settled. That moving is one of the worst things on earth. We moved to our place going on 8 years ago and there's still a ton of boxes full of crap-in the shed that need to be gone through. I would like to haul it all to the landfill but Linda won't let me. My thoughts are if we got by without it for this long, we probably don't need it.

why would they stop 3 stairs from the top????
everything is looking great, I know you must be getting antsy. This is the hard part, the hurry up and wait. Are you pressed for time to be out of your old house? or can you take your time? Moving the large machines can take a long time one or two on the trailer at a time.

How big will the guest parking lot be? And what is the price of admission?

Just kidding, but if it were mine I might sell tickets.

Rob,

The house and everything looks amazing. It's so cool to see it all come together, and espeically how nice it is. Your choices in the finish, lights, doors and just everything are perfect!!!!!!!!!!!

I bet the excitment level of living there has taken a huge leap.
