Sure does look nice Rob, are you guys getting antsy yet? Hey are they ever going to put in the front stairs? I know, there waiting for you to dig the footings with your backhoe.:D
Brian,
I know we are all antsy watching and waiting....tick, tick, tick....;) .
Rob,
Have you decided how to move that monster piece of equipment into your shop?
hugs, Brandi

It's getting closer and closer to moving in time. We've managed to get several trailers of our "junk" moved there already. We've got a couple rooms here at home I didn't even know we had?:D Now I can paint them.
Next is my Harley, more "junk" and some tooling. I'll most likely get a machinery mover to move the big lathe and my forklift at the same time.
Thank you for asking.

Rob,
I always thought one of the reasons to move is to clean house and leave the accumulated junk at the curb, not take it with you.

Rob,

Your home is looking great!! I have been EXTREMELY busy moving and trying to get the old house ready to sell; I have buyers ready to move in as soon as they get through closing. I have had rain 7 out of the last 8 weekends so moving some things has been kind of slow.

Love the cabinets and the colors you have chosen. I sure don't envy you all the moving you have to do. Mine was not too bad since I only moved 3 miles out the road. I know now the best way to end a drought is to move to a new house!

David,
I sympathize with your hectic schedule, because I'm going through a similar situation so I know exactly what you are up against. I do envy you because you have buyers for your other home already.
I wish I did!

The garage door finally came in, but I think we will end up painting it a different color.
It was a generic choice. The breezeway between the log home and the garage will be a ramp. Perhaps you can see the strings they have connecting the two. There will be logs supporting the ramp, and the entire breezeway will be covered with a metal roof like the home and garage.

The railing around all the decking is complete now. They are starting to stain and seal it all. Once the mess is cleaned up, it should look pretty darn cool from up there looking over the valley and mountains.

They started to place the stone we chose for the wood burning stove. It is a modest choice and a small area, but we really like it. It's a local 3R rock too. We thought going with the wood burning stove for heating is a better choice than a giant fireplace. It should be pretty cozy in the living room.

Ah Ha!

The funny wall sticking out from the stairs works now. It looks like the whole wall is stone instead of just having stone stuck to it. No longer looks mis-aligned...

Yes, we both commented on that when we saw how it turned out. Your comment of a hundred posts ago really had us worried for a long time. Doesn't look so bad anymore.
Thank You!
