That's why I went with the diverter for my grapple. I didn't want the grapple beating up my bucket and I wanted a little more control when picking up something that might not exactly be trash.
W.R. Long sells the kits too.
I originally bought a V&M diverter kit through a local dealer, but it is 2 valves with solenoids on each end. Each valve was about the size of the entire diverter from W.R. Long and I didn't like that fact that power always had to be on for either set of ports to work.
The W.R. Long diverter has 1 solenoid and the valve is either on the first set of ports with no power or on the second set with power.
If anyone is interested, I have a V&M diverter kit still in the shrink wrap that I'll make someone a good deal on. The kit is basically the 2 valves and a handle with a switch. I think there are some fittings that get you out of the ports, but without looking at it I am not sure.
