I'm getting the subject error message while browsing TBN more and more as the Corona days march on. Is it just me that seems infected, or my laptop, or is this happening to you all as well?

All the time in past week

I haven't had that, nor have I seen any of the other problems lately which I had been Bitc-
ER, complaining about in previous weeks. No popups covering 1/4 of the page, no page not available... I'm running Microsoft Edge, which is what came on this Windows 10 laptop.

Thanks X, I see Aaron suggested clearing cache and cookies and it solved his issue. Will try that.

I tried that and it went away for a short while. I get the message about every 3rd page and only on TBN. I'm running Windows 10 and Chrome browser with no add-ins.

I assumed Mohammed was censoring the following post that someone committed a faux pa on. Also TBN is the only source. I use Outlook and Chrome. Should be something TBN can fix from the server side. So far hasn't happened on a thread I follow closely.

A lot depends on your ISP, type of service (cable, dsl, wireless, satellite, ect). With stay at home orders internet has more users than normal, more hours per day. Been using the Brave Browser several months now. Reports 174,534 ads and trackers blocked and 2.4 hours of time saved.

I'm pretty sure it's a cookie/cash or ad related error, every time I get it I just hit the refresh button and it works... happens at home and at work. I'd clear cookies and cache but I hate logging in again to everything :)

But it is just this site.

I'm seeing it too, dragoneggs. Randomly... sometimes going into a thread, or viewing a picture in that thread. It's even happened when backing out of that thread.

Only TBN.

Kinda slow 'entering' or 'leaving' a thread too.

I'm using an iPad and Safari and have never seen it.

I'm also using a PC with Win7 and Firefox and never see it.

I don't run any adblocker software.

I never log out of TBN.

I run CCleaner on my PC once a week. I have it set to delete everything, so that kills my cookies and I have to log back in to TBN after I run it. I check the little box to remember me so I don't have to log in every time I come here.

I do nothing on my iPad.

Hope that helps. Good luck.

If you get the error, and then you refresh the page, do you still get the error, or does it usually load the next time?

It usually loads after refreshing the page.

OK, so given that it loads after refreshing the page, it's probably not a security issue on this website. I doubt it's anything on this website. It's more likely the end-user's machine, their ISP, the timing it takes to get replies to requests for pages from the server, IP issues with their ISP's and the DNS that they use, etc.... stuff like that. I recall reading something about TBN changing their IPs or DNS or something like that recently, and it seems the problems have come up since then, and only for some users. There are many, like myself, who have not seen these issues. That's why I don't lean towards it being an issue with this website. I'd guess that the end users are getting conflicting IP and DNS info from different places different times from their ISPs, thus causing confusion on their machines.

Not at a PC today, so can't investigate myself. Ipad doesn't do well with network diagnostics.
