About 10 years ago, a customer called & asked me to bush hog his property and try to get close to the trees. While mowing, I noticed something orange in the brush and stopped. It was an 8’ York Landscape rake. Pretty good condition. At the end of the day, I asked the customer about it and if he’d sell it. He said no, he still wants to use it.

Fast forward 10 years and it’s still sitting there, untouched, but now a rusted pile of crap.

My 80 acres was part of a 360 acre homestead. Given by the government in 1892. There use to be old homestead buildings - they have long ago turned to dust. All I've ever found - an unending supply of big nails and spikes. The old homesteader had a nail/spike fetish. And a couple apple boxes full of old, worn out dry cell batteries. They never had electricity here and the old batteries powered a radio he had.

Fortunately - all the nails/spikes are centered just around the old building site.

I heard back from A & B this morning.

“That is our 6-½ ft wide BLC box. It is a medium duty box and we made them 10-15 years ago.”

I responded back and asked them if they could provide a weight on it but nothing yet.

So far all I have found is tires and debris that people dumped. The property is part of a much larger piece owned by a mining interest. It was effectively unoccupied and treated as a cheap dump on occasion. Not too bad though. We looked at one property that had at least a full acre of couches, tvs, and various waste dumped by lazy or cheap people. Property owner was unwilling to pay for cleanup or cut price (it was not low priced already, either)

Nice find. If you cannot use it, you can clean it up and sell it.

I paid too much for adjoining land a few years ago. I'm happy I bought it now, but an abandoned van filled with junk & a big trash pile I burned then planted annual Rye.
Another mass of weeds I went in with my Cub Zero turn mower and "found" lots of old barbed wire & scrap which destroyed my deck.
I had to reweld deck, straighten, beat dents out, replace spindles, etc. Paint it.

Strangest thing Ive found was 2 basketballs in the middle of my wooded area. I guess Bigfoots were playing the Aliens. HAHA
