Add Reciever to Single Shank Subsoiler

I have a heavy duty single shank subsoiler/ripper that has a removable shank. Im thinking of removing the shank when not needed, and on the top of a reciever, weld up the same thickness of steel as the shank and bolt it in, thus giving me a way to have a 3 point receiver. This should work... Right? Any downsides?

Good Idea and should work perfect .

It will work but you really need weight to hold any of these trailer movers down. If you have enough tongue load you should be okay.

What is the brand on your subsoil plow, I like it from what I see.

I got this little project complete. Very happy with it, I purchased the receiver and used some 1" scrap. Maybe would work well for others with a ripper that have a removable shank.
