I just got my temp, oil and voltage meters mounted on my YM1700. Temperature meter is working, but I didn't wire oil and voltage up yet. I considered mounting the voltage meter on the lower, vertical piece below where these meters are, but I sat in the seat and decided I wouldn't be able to read it there, so I opted for the upper left position. I may put the horn on that lower surface.

I don't have a good space to add a oil pressure and temp gauge...any suggestions?

How about the lower left black area where there are currently 2 switches? Those could be relocated and the holes for gauges put in their place.

The area ahead of the (mitsu :D ) steering wheel over the fuel tank could be used if a decent cover can be made or found.

I know there are places that sell the gage pods probably Summit or Jegs would be my guess and they are plastic I think. hth

I am just looking to get a good temperature gauge so I can actually see what the temp is instead of the guage I have in there now that just reads c or H. I have no way of knowing if the guage is truly accurate. I would like to also add an oil pressure guage....again - waiting on the oil light to come on might be too late and I don't have a great level of confidence that it actually works.

California -- I second the motion that having a Temp gauge instead of a light provides useful information and gives me some peace of mind. The Temp lights are apparently notorious for triggering at too low a temperature and models like mine (YM1700) with the thermosiphon cooling have been known to have overheating issues. If I'm paying attention (and I will be at least for a while) will allow me to understand what temperatures I'm hitting under different conditions so I can do something about it if I want. With just a light, I don't really know what's going on. I would say the same is true for the oil pressure gauge, but to a lesser extent. The voltage gauge was just part of the set... :D And did I mention that they look cool too??
