Thank you ptsg. I hadn't considered that ! Had my blinders on.

Question from hydraulic newbie.... Why the label of "N" on port, am I to guess it is also to be the less common designation for "PB" port that would go to down stream hydraulics such as 3PH in a series plumbed system? Sort of wonder because all the hydraulics study I have been exposed to the ports are usually "P" and "PB" and "T" ports (yeah also the A/B ports but this not part of question)...

I have no idea why they went with the "N" connotation unless it is because if that was the last valve in the system it would not need a PB and could be one of several "T" ports. On many valves if that port does not get the "PB" fitting it is a port in common with "T" ports,
the "PB" fitting is what actually isolates the power flow to feed it to the next valve.

I don't want to confuse the issue here but I have a question. Assuming the 3rd function valve has an out port that is able to take pressure ( I think they do in a proper system since the OUT port is not generally to the tank but to the 3ph ) why cant his new valve be plumbed with the loader PB going to the new valve IN and the new valve PB going to the 3rd function IN, The 3rd function OUT to 3ph. The new valve T would be teed into the loader valve T.

You both said it should not be done this way. I am just wondering why. There is something there I don't understand. Thanks.

PTSG beat me to it, but he is correct.

Since the loader valve is up front, and so is the third...and the remotes and 3PH are out back, it only makes sense to go front, front, rear, rear. Instead of front, rear, front, rear with the hose routing

Thanks LD1 - I see that now. Since to OP was trying to go Loader Valve - New Valve - 3rd Func Valve and you guys said no don't do it that way I thought you meant hydraulic wise it wouldn't work. Never gave location of the valves a thought.

I was beginning to think that there was confusion as to whether "T" was referring to "tank" or a hydraulic fitting. (Tee) :)
