Advise on being ripped off at Kioti dealer

Says the guy with 29 post who admits to being bitter about how he was treated in the past and now wants to know why someone else isn't being treated poorly too.

Seems like things "add up" fairly well.

No, he has a valid point. Just because he has a post count of 30 doesn’t mean squat, and it's a crappy thing to imply. You can see he’s been here and interacting for a few months. The OP on the other hand, joined for the sole intention of making this post, and could very well be a hit-n-run. Whenever these types of posts are made, people quickly jump on the bandwagon, assuming the OP was cheated. Very few people consider the possibility that there are people being paid to spread negative opinions of a particular brand all over the internet. I’m not saying that’s the case here, but it happens all the time and should never be discounted when someone joins simply to post such a “story”.

I should add, I personally don’t think the OP in this case is being dishonest. It seems more like a dealer issue than a brand issue.

Except that TBN rules prohibit publicly naming the dealer in cases such as this as it almost always turns into dealer bashing and could open the OP up to a lawsuit for slander...

Aaron Z

Bashing, lawsuits and slander, sounds like fun to me! Just like the Miss Universe Pageant.

Years ago I used to own and operate an auto transmission shop. Every once in a while a customer would ask us to "tow out" a vehicle from another shop and fix it because the original shop couldn't/wouldn't.

We typically refused to do this because it was common for the original shop to sabatoge the tranny or "lose" expensive parts. I knew several mechanics that faced this problem and warned me when I opened my shop. The original shop always swore that everything was there when it left. The worst was when they would drill a small hole between 2 passages in the valve body. The transmission would never work properly and the second dealer/mechanic was stuck with a large and expensive problem.

Beware of vindictive dealer who faces a large loss.

This is why I do my own work. Spend your money on a workshop manual and some tools. Then the work is done exactly the way you want it.

One thing is for sure, if we keep this up, we arent ever going to hear back from the OP on how this turns out.

I dont "jump" on the band wagon and automatically assume everything he is saying is truthful. I understand we are only getting one side of the story, but am inclined to believe what I am hearing until given a reason not to.

He has been given good advise about how to resolve this with the dealer and/or contacting kioti. If this truly was just a scheme to bash the dealer or brand, he obviously aint gonna do that and this thread will die. IF he does do that, and post back with some updates and a resolution, then this thread can be counted as credible.

But so far, I dont see anything that really puts the "brand" kioti in a negative light as if this were just a big scheme. Seems he is more frustrated with the dealer, who is still anonymous and will remain that way. So again, if this were a big scheme to bash a brand, its failing miserably IMO.

The OP registered in 2013. I really doubt he waited two years to hatch his evil plan to bash Kioti, especially after reading his posts which were very non-specific. And he even said he bought a new tractor from the dealer, which sounds to me like he isn't bashing Kioti at all.

I'm not inclined to vet a poster or thread before responding and don't see it as a Kioti thing, there is a Kubota dealer I won't go near as well as JD, AGCO and yes Kioti, but I own Kubota, JD, MF and my brothr loves his Kioti. It's not the product I see as problematic.

I agree. I've had some bad experiences with the Case dealer (part of it was the ludicrous price they quoted for a tractor), and I won't go near the place. I've seen post that are obviously supposed to just stir things up, and they are usually a list of grievances with no (or poor) attempt at remedy, and specific vitriol aimed at the brand. This doesn't quite match that. If the OP never shows up again, things may be different.

What is confusing to me is the fact that the OP got a new tractor. I assumed that it was a replacement. But maybe not, as he is trying to fix it. If the tractor is replaced, I'd walk away now, and leave the heap of parts for them to deal with.

If the tractor is needed, then Kioti needs to be called in. They can take some getting to, but past experience has shown that once the right person is reached, things happen. Kioti has a history of axing dealers.

I won't go near the local Kubota dealer. There is another place that sells several different brands that is even worse.

The OP's first post was in 2014 about the very same tractor (http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/...i-mid-mount-mower.html?highlight=#post3665200) although he wasn't exactly swamped with help!
Seems legit to me. Reckon he hasn't been getting his emails telling him there are helpful friends here working on his behalf.

As to leaving his tractor in pieces for the dealer to have. The dealer wouldn't give him a trade-in because it needed to be repaired, so now he should just leave it there for the dealer to have for free, because of the unreasonable price asked to get it back repaired?? No way Jose.
