When I got my Zetor, the battery tray was nothing but a small heap of rusty powder. I had a buddy weld me a high-nickel content stainless steel (e.g. Duplex Steel 2304) one (with a welder I can only fry things together) and I made a few small drain holes away from the tray support bars. As this SS has a very high resistance against sulphuric acid, I suppose that this tray will live longer than the tractor itself.
