An easier way to refuel your tractor

Hi all, What I do, i use the H F transfer pump $8.00 with coupon! My compact Kioti ck 25 HST only holds about 7 gl. It works so good that I bought two more, for my gasoline equipment and the DEF fluid for the truck!✌&#55356;&#57339;️

Climb up the steps, then reach out with your foot for the top of the tire, then stand on the axle while putting in 30-40 gallons, and of course the engine and radiator is nice and warm too. :laughing:

That's what they make step ladders for.

Rereading your post again because it got reposted by Diggin, which lead me to rethink 40 gal in a tractor, WOW 40 gal+. So after rethinking I looked your tractor up, you have a big tractor with a big motor with I'm sure more Hp then then most here could possibly need, that picture was deceiving. What is your main function for that work horse?

That one and an IH 1066 are two that my brother picked up primarily for road hauling loaded wagons instead of the heavy 4wd Magnums.
The Deere actually has a 466 combine motor in it she is between 175 to 200 hp, the 1066 is just under 200 hp they both came off the local enhanced tractor puller circuit.
They are used on an active farm, for many decades it was a dairy that my Grand father started now it's Black Angus beef and we have to put up enough feed to feed them all winter. The main heavy work tractors are IH Magnums 7110,7120 and a 7230 they take just shy of a hundred gallons to fill.

You mean one of these monsters>>> 199 CASE IH 711 For Sale - YouTube I think my L3400 takes around 8 gal max and I still rather fill it up with a transfer pump because the older I get the higher the fuel tank gets..........

Yep, the fuel fill is on the front of the flat fender just to the rear of the door, climb up on the second step stick the pump nozzle in and start pumping several minutes later shes full.

I wish some of these warning labels such as don't fill gas cans.....would contain an explanation, in this case why or how the static electricity is generated. I once considered myself the know-it-all of things mechanical/electrical. This led me to conclude that using a non-metalic fuel jug [which is a non-conductor] would be a safe bet. I did give passing thought to -- I wonder what was causing the static electricity in the first place? The brain trust quit the analysis at that point and switched to plastic jugs for use in my covered pickup bed. It was some years later I learned the fuel flowing into the jugs was the source of static electricity. Uh-Ow, now I get it! Jugs now get filled on the ground as directed. However, I have a lingering question. The jugs are still non-conductors so they really aren't grounded just because they are sitting on the ground. Why isn't the potential spark & fire still a possibility?

Indeed, the danger is real. My wife was filling cans with gasoline as they were sitting in our truck bed with liner, fire started in the neck of one of the cans.....she blew out the flame. Now the cans are filled on the concrete slab.
