Does not look like a whole lot of progress but we did work this weekend.


Saturday we mostly worked on getting the infeed table log stop assembled




Today was mostly spent on the multi-wedge.
It is upside-down in the last pic. The bottom two sets of wedges are on. Still need to weld on the top two angled wedges. And weld the multi wedge support to the beam, and weld the main wedge to the beam, and, and, and...

18hp engine was started for the first time in 10 years this weekend. So we are happy that it makes noise again. Just needs a carb rebuild now and it should be on its way back to us.

Good news is that we have almost all of the metal on hand for the rest of the machine so we should be stepping up our build frequency.

I'm afraid these are some of the issues with having 4 partners in on it. and trying to get schedules to align.

We are going to need to get back into it. We're going to need to get wood in!

How's the TC35 shifter now. Did you reassembly the tractor?

Yeah, that was part of the delay. Splitting my tractor for a transmission repair...
Just replied a little earlier today with an update.

Fixed it, sold it, waiting for my new tractor.

So we finally have another weekend we're working on the processor.


Today we finished up welding the multi-wedge. This pic still has pieces of scrap tacked on to hold everything in place during the weld process.




We welded spacers inside the H beam and through a lot of weld at the multi-wedge support


Then we welded a plate over the spacer and the support. Any critical welds were welded with 3 passes.




We threw the beam/wedge setup in the processor to see how it would look...


Here is our axle. 4x4 square stock with some plates weled on the ends to accept rear hubs from a front wheel drive car.


Here the hubs are on. I think they are from like an '05 vintage Lumina or something. We should be mounting the axle tomorrow.

Today we got the axle and the outriggers on.



Got some solid plans for going forward too.
