What a great idea for an old BBQ cart. I'll definitely have to file that away.

I have my old gutted Vermont American heavy duty BBQ sitting out front waiting for me to haul it away for scrap. Stop! I routinely got that thing up to around 700+ or hotter, actually no idea how hot. Had nothing that could measure the temp higher than the pegged thermometer.

Worth a mod. Any tips/instructions for the build?

I bought mine from local farrier who was upgrading his anvil. Better than the HF I used before and in the future, if I can justify it, I will pick one - and other tools - at Hollands. My oldest lives in Detroit and I travel to MI at least once a year.

I'm going to try and hunt down an old used anvil for my next anvil. I bought my last 55lb anvil off of amazon and it's basically a glorified door stop. The only problem is I'm lazy too lazy to search for a new one...

It ain't easy to find a quality (old) anvil that one can afford.
