I had to register my Kubota tractor (with backhoe) as construction equipment as well. I think it is less restrictive than the AG plates. I belive I can drive on any non-toll road (not that I would!).

Not to hijack but this seems to go with the subject...
In Hooksett, I went in for a tractor plate for my kubota, they made me put on Construction Equipment plate as they claimed anything with a backhoe on it is considered "Construction Equipment"..(they called the NH-DMV in front of me).....
I mentioned that the backhoe was only an attachment and it would not be on during the plow season (when I need a plate).....Their response after I showed them the invoice was, "Doesn't matter, you bought it new with the backhoe".....
If I could have shown them an invoice with just tractor/fel then they would have given me tractor plate......:confused2:
