Buying Advice Anyone Regret buying a Tractor with a Cab?

While I am sure you like your new factory cabbed 3720 recognize that there are some models where the cabs are not offered. Such was the case with the Deere 110tlb, so if you wanted a cab you had to add it afterwards. I ordered the 110tlb new and put the Laurin cab and Hammond hvac on it. Works great but is not as quiet as the 4520 with factory cab.

I love the factory cab a lot. For some reason, i thought the 110 offered a cab. I was serious considering having the peice of crap ingersoll rand bl375 at work replaced with the 110 after seeing martians posts. Even so, the 110 looks to be a wayy better machine regardless of cab or not. Seems like it could be easily outfitted with one factory style

I had an IH 2500b tractor loader with a full cab. In the winter, it was great. In the summer, it was brutal... NO A/C!!! :drool:

Also, I took it in places in the woods I shouldn't have and as a result, after a few years, every piece of glass in it but the rear window had a crack from tree branches.

My current tractor has no cab, but it does have a steel canopy on the ROPS. Saved my noggin from falling objects several times. :thumbsup:

If I had my druthers, I'd have a full cab with windows I could remove easily and replace with expanded steel mesh panels in the summer for woods work. Then I'd be very happy. :dance1:

Let's see last night, I cleared about a 1/2 acre of small trees and brush. My property is heavily wooded so I had to be careful of the top of the cab hitting trees a couple of times because of the angle I was on. I had to untangle branches out of the lights twice also, that required opening the door. BUT you know when I opened the door I realised it was 29 degrees out and snowing with the wind gusting to 30 mph+. The heater was on low fan and adjusted to half and I was still too hot, what a tough problem to have. I will not by choice ever have a piece of equipment without a cab. CJ

I HATED IT! IT MADE MY HEAD HURT
IT HAD A HIGH PITCH DRONE IN IT, NOT WELL INSULATED
THE CAB WAS NOISY AND CONFINING
USED IT 25 HOURS AND TRADED IT FOR A B3030 WITHOUT CAB
I LIKE THE FACT I CAN SEE BETTER AND FEEL MORE OPEN

same here. i thought kubotas had a good reputation with the new cabs too. I wonder if it is as bad as that guy says

I have heard that some people have issues with HST whine noises, so this might be an issue. But mine does not have that issue. The only Whine i hear is from my neighbor who spent more for his tractor which doesnt have a cab :laughing:

I'm already on record as preferring cab-free *for my uses*.
Whats next? a TV in the cab with a satellite dish on the roof?
