Are ATVs/UTVs overpriced?

If you see the destruction the loggers cause here on NF land you would not worry. I'm gentle on the land since I like to hunt and forage. The is NO way to get truck into the land locked piece of NF I frequent. Well until they log it again and cut road a couple of miles in from the old mine.
Been here 16 years only see the NF guys twice once to record tree growth on MY property because could not drive the truck to their property and again when they walked in to mark harvest trees in a 40ac parcel across the road.
Once they cut a logging road and leave all the slash behind it becomes a trash dump for the local morons. There NO cleanup after the loggers leave, they just hire someone to come in and drop everything over 6' tall (something like that) but not mature yet. Looks like a bomb went off but in 50 years it recovers.

... I need to plate it so I can start riding it to my area family members homes...

Have you looked into what Indiana requires to road it? I'd assumed turn signals etc, in addition to plates. Maybe even insurance.

We used to truck our MX bikes up to Michigan to run the fire trails. They let you ride on the berm, even near town. Seemed like a good business model.

It just requires that I buy a sticker for it from the BMV.

We are considering a CFmoto UTV... Folks around here are buying them often, and I won't pay $20k+ for a Polaris

I bought a 2021 Honda Talon 1000R (Live Valve) and loved it. Had it built up fairly well. I bought it completely based off of my brother's input. He has a 2018 Honda Pioneer 1000 (three seater) and he swore by the engine / transmission. I really did like my Talon, but the trails we ride here, are more technical and I rarely used High gear. We had a lot of fun in WV and TN, and even around here in SC / NC. But, I couldn't SEE out of the thing. I'm 6'3 and visibility was not great to the front, and non-existent to the rear.

Grudgingly, I sold it.

Fast forward to now. Now I have land, and a little hobby far. I recently bought a 2023 Yamaha RMax2 Limited Edition.... and this thing checks all of my boxes. It is as nimble (maybe a wee bit more) than my Talon was, every bit as fast as my Talon, yet has a dump bed, and I can SEE out of it. The seating position is more upright than my Talon was, but still sporty. The one thing I had to get used to is how HIGH this thing revs. The CV trans is also something I had to get used to. I kept wanting to shift it with the non-existent paddle shifters.... LOL

My wife and I love to ride, and love having a Side by Side (SxS). I plan on keeping this RMax.

This is my RMax with my brothers Pioneer. Mine is blue, his is red.

This was my beloved Talon. That was a fun buggy!

I sold my old 4x6 and a club car carry-all to a buddy for $1000. He put a few hundred dollars into them and some of his time and flipped them for a tidy profit. I think he got over $4k for the 4x6 and probably $2k for the carry-all.
