Sorry Bo and wife. Losing a good dog is hard. Especially if you have to make that tough decision. It sounds like she had a great life until her last day. It takes a long time to get over your loss.

I lost my golden the year before my 1st kid was born, 10 years ago. Still miss him. 3 kids later and I've decided I still can't afford vet bills nowadays. I'd love to have a good dog again.

So sorry to hear about your friend. I just left my Booger at the vet. He came down with Auto-immume disease and will stay at the vet for two days for fluids and steriods....................then............they will test again to see if his kidneys are shutting down. 50-50 chance of him surviving. He is almost 12 years old and my faithful tractor dog.
hugs, Brandi

Sorry to hear about your dog, Bo.

Your cabin is coming together. I've enjoyed following your progress.

Oh me Bo, I'm also sorry about ye hound! I say get another one. My chocolate lab mix will be 9 in August. We love the little rascal!

Ye house - WOW - just plain out old WOW. I don't think I've ever seen a log house built with that size logs, unless it was old Ben Cartwright's place. Man Bo, that's plumb scary looking! Getting them things way up there! But, ye're a whipper snapper at just 64 (I'm 65...), so ye can handle it. Keep the pics coming. Loving this!

Oh, and I've never heard tell of nary sheetrock under ye insulation! Wha' in the world is that about? Plastic on the ground, yes indeed for a moisture barrier, but Sheetrock? What'd ye inspector say is the reason?

The inspector scratched his head also. He asked where the engineer was coming from. When I asked the engineer, he said he subbed that portion to a junior who has since left. A few things would have made more sense, but it's done now.

I have half go my rafters left to do, but the last several days it has been too windy to work with them. Today a tree blew over. Winds in the 20's with gusts in the 40's.

T&G arrived and is waiting to go up as soon as we finish the rafters.
