Here are the photos of the rod I made to hold up the MMM on my tractor. I can't take credit for the idea, as I read about it on one of the forums. Anyway its about a 1/16" smaller than the pins that came with the tractor. I had the stock on had so I used it. I think it works better, as the little bit of play makes it easy to get the rod in. The rod is about 17" long and I just drilled a 1/8" hole and used a hitch pin to hold it in place.

Von, thanks for going to the trouble of taking and posting the pictures. I think it is the best solution, and I hope the thread is helpful to others in the B27/2910 72" deck club. I probably would not have thought of the bend. Too simple and obvious.

I think I was in a hardware store once, so I'll go hunt for it tomorrow and see if they have an orange rod.

Von, Those are great pictures. Something definately isn't lining up on my tractor. I presume I will have to adjust the front mounting bar to shift the whole mower forward about 2". Then I presume the arms will lift it high enough to make the whole thing a piece of cake! Yea right? At least now I know that it can be done. I'll let you know.

Leef,You might want to look at the brackets that are bolted to the tabs on the tractor.See if these have been installed correctly,might be such a thing as the brackets need to be reversed.That is if the holes for the pins that hook up the deck are not centered in the bracket itself.

That's a good idea too. I won't be able to take von's pictures to the tractor for a few days, but I'm hoping to get this thing figured out so I can pin up the MMM and use the 3ph for the box blade. I'll let you know.
