How did you keep the wires tight enough using that method? We normally run the strands then tension them with a grip and come-a-long. Then we go back and attach to each post, although that's steel t-posts. We normally did the same thing with wooden posts.
I did the same thing with the 4 come-a-longs, The staples from the staple gun was only used to hold the wire up in place. A lot of the staples pulled out when tension was applied. With the tension applied, I went back down the line stapling all the wires. It's tuff when working alone.
