Agreed. I just did my basement with these, easy to work with and very durable. Much better than the 1' X 1' gluedowns.....which I used on the last basement, and are peeling up....

Yep, we've used this flooring on several projects, including the front porch at our fishing camp. So far it has held up great, even outdoors where it is not intended.

that looks great!

Thanks for the review! My basement workshop is in desperate need of something-I've been contemplating the 1x1 commercial square tile (VCT) and gluing them down.

How do you think a mill (2,200lbs) and lathe (1000lbs) would do sitting on it?

Ken, if you put some kind of footpad under those heavy machines I think it would be fine.

This stuff is great I just used it in our camper. Last year durning hunting season our vinyl floor split in several places. I pulled it out and but this in. Very easy to work with.

Include me in the Allure fan club. I've installed it for a dozen or so clients and everyone loves it.

It's tough stuff. You just need a clean flat surface and make sure you prime the floor first with there primer.

I have the Allure in Hickory in our basement and its great.

Why do you say prime the floor?

Yea, I've used this product a few times and it's very user friendly. I've generally limited it's use to bathrooms where we wanted to upgrade from sheet vinyl, but didn't want to go to tile. It also doesn't have the hollow sound that laminate has.

The product floats so I don't know why a primer would be needed.

Good Afternoon Kenny,
When I was a modelmaker for Pitney Bowes, we had the commercial square tile on our shop floor, and we used these square fiber pads under all the corners of our mills and lathes. Never had a problem when we needed to move something around in the shop. They pretty much eliminated any damage to the tiles !

Im not sure of the proper name for them,,,:)

from what i have read, the primer is more of a sealer, they don't want moisture weeping up
from under a concrete floor and becoming trapped between the floor and concrete.
