Battery size for my Ford Jubilee recomendation

Looking to see what rated battery CCAs is suggested for my '53 Ford Jubilee... Im not sure if the old one is right...it works dont get me wrong but what is called for in that machine?? Want to make sure I get a properly sized battery when I replace it here soon..........

Regardless of voltage I'd be prone to measure the battery box and get the biggest one that would fit. Remember to check the height for the terminals and their configuration so cables will be long enough.

Yup. That's what I would do. Mine even stuck out thr side a bit.

meh, you'd be surprised what you can get away with... I've seen a Ford 9000 run for many hours over a few weeks with a non functioning charging system on a standard deep cycle/marine battery instead of the giant semi sized battery it's supposed to have... when it stops starting jump start it and take the battery off and charge it for next time lol...

I think it called for an 80AH battery, but, like Roadworthy said, you can't have too much battery.
