I tend to agree with this. OK so as others have said, maybe D-Bag won't be taught a lesson, but that doesn't really matter. Why should the OP be the one to live with all of the regret/why should D-Bag get off scot-free. You can either reinforce this type of behavior by doing nothing, or you can put D-Bag on notice that you won't tolerate it/be a victim of it. He doesn't have to like you for it, but he'll have to respect you for not being a pushover.

I am firm believer that most people who look "well off" are often buried in credit card debt etc... I can guarantee you that a scum bag who would pull this **** is. Maybe that is your solice? Oh and if you aren't convinced about the credit card debt read the research in "The Millionaire Next Door"

When I borrowed my friends 3130, I bent a step. I not only replaced it, but replaced the FEL control boot that his brother-in-law tore. The dang thing cost me $50!! I also performed his 200 hour service and he bought the parts. I like returning aything I borrow in BETTER condition if I can!!

Lesson learned? never lend this lying, d-bag, even a screwdriver.

I hope your tractor is ok. Bendind the ROPS like that must have been a real shock load to the mount points.

I made a mistake of lending out my valby chipper to a neighbor, once........

Never again. He returned it with all the belts shredded. I dunnno how it happened, but the input shaft was twisted better than 60 degrees.....

I was pretty pissed. I took it back to his place and loaded it on his utility trailor. Told him to return it whan it was fixed. The repair bill was several hundred $$$.

I am real careful who I lend stuff to. Just a very few people.
