Thanks! That is just part of what I do, that pit is 3/16" thick, almost 1/4" and I cut it all out in about 45 minutes.

I actually order the pits in two halves, weld them together and then lay out the design and cut. Each half is $125.

I have an Everlast PP60 and it's done everything I've asked of it. I buy my supplies for it off of ebay. I'm sure the stuff I get off ebay isn't high quality and since I only use it on rare occasions they don't last long. If I was going to do any sort of production work or even use it on a monthly basis I think I would spend the extra money on the Hypertherm. I think in the long term you'll break even once you figure in the cost of supplies. It'll take a long time though.

It's well worth checking out the price of consumables before buying. The purchase price is just the start. I have a Hypertherm and they arn't too bad for consumables. I also needed a torch connector part once that they had trouble getting so they gave me an upgraded torch for free. Can't beat the service on the commercial rigs. They could have just said, hey it's obsolete. Here is the price of a new torch assembly.

And, I bought the thing used! I didn't even have a business relationship with them.

I do hand cut metal art with an Everlast Power Plasma 50. It is dual voltage and does great up to 3/4" only cost $900 and I have used it for over a year daily! Also I have dealt with Everlast customer service and they are very knowledgable and easy to work with. Plus there is a 5 year warranty on all Everlast machines.

+1 I have the same machine. I don't have your mad skills though ... very nice fire pit!
