Best 3/4" plasma cutter for under 2K??

I do hand cut metal art with an Everlast Power Plasma 50. It is dual voltage and does great up to 3/4" only cost $900 and I have used it for over a year daily! Also I have dealt with Everlast customer service and they are very knowledgable and easy to work with. Plus there is a 5 year warranty on all Everlast machines.

+1 I have the same machine. I don't have your mad skills though ... very nice fire pit!
Just a quick note the Power Plasma 50 is on sale now for $764. Unless you get a "Mark down TBN price".

Where did you see it for 764? And what is the secret TBN price?

The secret price is contacting Mark who handles Everlast product here on the web. You can reach him via PM or his website or phone. Look in the Everlast section of welding at the top.

I did that last year... He quoted me the same price as what I can get it for on amazon.

Do I need a super secret code word?

But seriously, Mark pm me if you can beat the $800 delivered that amazon has on the 2016 powerplasma 50.

Yeah, he freely admits that once in a while crazy deals come up on amazon and you should jump at them. I missed a fantastic stick welder for $300 that was I think 1K list...

$800 has been the price on amazon for a couple years for the pp50. I tried to get a better price on my PA200st when I boght it but it was like pulling teeth to get everlast to even match the amzon price when I called them directly. I would have thought they'd be able to sell for less directly then the everyday amazon prices.

Anyways I pm'd mark again about the pp50s to see what he can do yesterday. I've been torn between the everlast or going cheap and buying a cut50 off ebay since they are less then $250 now...or maybe the used hypertherm 30 that's been calling my name on CL. ;)

Here is my plasma opinion. I use one on an almost daily basis. I can say that Everlast has surprised me. The machine has so much power and does a great job. The consumables aren't near as good as Hypertherm but the machine is a super capable power source and super affordable. Jim will agree with this, the true makings of a great plasma cutter is a great torch. Hypertherm is a great unit, probably the best but I also feel if Everlast had a better torch, they could closely compete with the big dogs.
I couldn't afford a Hypertherm when I bought, that is why I went Everlast. I do hand cut metal art, fabrication and repair work. The Everlast has earned its keep 100 times over. Would i recommend Hypertherm, oh yeah I definitely would. If you are on a budget, you are only gonna use it a couple times and let it sit, you are better off with an Everlast. I wouldn't cheap out too much, a lot of those brands are junk but I run all Everlast welders and I will back them.

Well just based on seeing your spherical fire pits, that's a solid endorsement.
