I hope so.

Yes the item was returned. And yes they gave my money back....all but the shipping.

According to some other reviews....people were told they have a clear "no refund" policy on shipping charges.

And I'd be perfectly fine with that had I changed my mind....or sent it back with no wrong doing on their part.

However...when they told me it was a MX5100 short block....and it was a MX4700 short block which CANNOT be made to work on a MX5100, thats their error and THEY should pay.

As it stands now, They got their part back, refunded what I gave them...so they have inured NO loss for THEIR error. While I have lost $376 for shipping me the WRONG part. I honestly dont know how some people sleep at night thinking this is a good business practice.

If I order a black shirt from your store and you ship me a green one...thats YOUR mistake and you eat all costs and make the buyer whole.

If I order a black shirt, decide I dont like it and send it back and want to exchange for a green one....then I would be just fine paying whatever shipping charges.

Its that simple...whomever made the error should eat the shipping costs IMO
Yep, their error = they eat the shipping charge. Plus you paid to ship it back, correct? Technically you could have told them, "you sent the wrong part, come pick it up and refund me 100% or send the correct part and get this one" and done the chargeback. Even in that case without the part being returned I'm about 99.0% sure the credit card company would have sided with you.

No I didn't pay return shipping.

They set it up for pickup.

I wasn't "charged" for return shipping. But when they credited my card....it was less the return shipping.

Part was $1750..
Shipping was $188.xx
So my card was charged $1938.xx

When they "refunded" my card....it was only for $1562.xx

Agree, let it go

Motor is a correct description.

As other said....
Motor oil
Motor speedway
Bureau of motor vehicles
Motorcycle

Even the definition of "engine" is vast and can mean more than just the gassers and diesels that power our stuff

I disagree, I call them "Power Plants"

Excuse me:.... I gotta go now!
The engine in my dish washer just started making a terrible noise.

I had a dispute this year with the wrong merchandise being shipped I was refunded 100% plus shipping costs. I didn't ask, that's just the way they did it.

Years ago a high performance engine was called a "Mill". Check out the 1958 movie "Thunder Road" starring Robert Mitchum. The line I remember best is when he tells his brother "In a few years every house will have a nuclear power plant in it."

Nope. My last communication with the CC company was about 3 weeks ago now.

My disputing the shipping charges $376 submitted in writing put the ball in their court.

CC issued me a credit, then is reaching out to WKYTP to hear what they have to say, get their side of the story, etc etc. No further action needed on my part. If the CC company needs anything further from me, they will contact me,

So basically there are 3 outcomes....
1. WKYTP concedes to the CC company and refunds them the $376 (since CC company has already refunded me)
2. WKYTP plays hard ball, refuses, and the CC company decides $376 aint worth the headache, and life goes on
3. WKYTP plays hardball, CC company gets back ahold of me.....more info, etc and ultimatly the CC company will have to make a decision.

3 weeks ago, I was told they give the merchant 60 days to respond to their (CC company's) request for refund.

LD1---my experience with a dispute was that the CC company has all the marbles and the merchant none. The CC company will just debit future payments of whatever it wants and the merchant is powerless. This is especially true if they fail to respond to the dispute in the allotted time. My guess is the merchant in your case will fail to respond. No one has to play hard ball or anything and unless something has changed, no words are exchanged and you just win.

Also, your credit card may have certain benefits that pays you in the event of a purchase of shoddy merchandise. Lots of people don't know that.
