Blown JD 955 front axle. Anyone source a used unit?

As the subject says, anyone have some ideas? RH side. Looks like a ball popped out of the bottom cup bearing and somehow made its way to the gear, which forced the bearing assembly outward.

Ouch! That is not a pretty site. More than just the cast housing broken?
No chance to replace bearings and seals, and welding cast back together?

Maybe a used parts yard if only alternative.

Used is what I am hoping someone will come up with. There is a bearing in the bottom of it so even though the housing can probably be welded, getting the bearing snug and lined up again is another issue.

"Like a bomb going off" is what my Dad said. There's a pretty good splatter mark in the yard too. Not good, he's going to have a hard time coming up with the cash for this one.

Yeah, that one was gone, as were the others. He did source one for an 855, but it comes up as a different part number.

Update: Some patience and a little 7018 rod.

Will it work? Time will tell. Even at 38, my Dad still amazes me.

Sorry to see that! I just got through rebuilding my front-end on my 790 which looks real close to yours. It cost me just in part $1360 and that was not all the gears. Maybe a 790 or 990 will work. Know it sucks being planting time and such. One more thing. Have u looked at the shaft in that housing and area to see what caused that to happen? Good luck my friend!

Looking at the very 1st pic. it looks like the bottom drive gear is chunked up some. Maybe not I hope because, that gear alone is $85.
