Close, functionally, it would work the same as mine. Mine is made of 1/4" air craft cable and passes over a pulley system. At each end of the cables is an eye that you bolt to the engine. Mine is probably 35 - 40 years old and that might be the difference. If I find it and remember this thread at that distant time in the future, I will post a picture. It is one of those things that was relegated to some distant corner of the shop when it was retired from service. Here is a boom pole I made for my IH 434. It is really handy in hauling heavy implements around the yard. On some heavy items I have to telescope the arm back down to the first setting as my old pump can't handle the load at fully extended or 8ft. I expect it's putting out something less than the rated 2600lb capacity.
