Im not saying one way or the other is better, Im just passing on some info I got from a local dealer concerning the MF/Woods combo. If he can put this combo together cheaper than he can get a 2310, maybe other dealers can also. That may save someone a few bucks and its good info for those that have a 2300 and want to add a BH or loader.
cag,
Yes, we are talking the Woods BH6000 and the Woods 1005 loader
That would be the Woods BH6000. Even comes in matching red.
Havn't convinced my SO that we should lay out the $4500 but I'm workin' on it. She wasn't all that thrilled about buying the tractor in the first place, but after doing some landscaping this summer, she agreed it was worth it. So with that track record, maybe I'll get the benefit of the doubt. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
You folks have got to stop this! The more you talk about it the more tempted I get. The 2310 wasn't out when I bought (at least not in the States) and I've been more and more tempted to nose around the backhoe end of things and see what the dealer can do. I didn't realize the Woods has a sub-frame. Now it looks like it could be a viable alternative to trading in...
( I visited the MF dealer today to look at a 2310. He didnt have any and said they probably wont be ordering any more unless someone specifically wants it. Instead of ordering the 2310, they are ordering 2300s and installing Woods BH and loaders on them. He said he can put that combo together and sell it for about $900 cheaper than the 2310. He said it also helps him on all of his Woods products because the more they order, the better deal they get on their Woods products and can pass it on to customers cheaper.
The woods BH does have a subframe that ties into the loader frame, swivel seat mount and grill guard, MF red and is compatible with either Woods or MF mower decks. The Woods BH will also allow you to keep the 3PH arms on the tractor with small modifications (a little bending) of the PTO cover. The Woods BH and loader are warrantied for 1 year and the tractor for 2 years (I may be mistaken on the tractor warranty). I do know that he said that the Woods stuff doesnt void the tractor warranty in any way.
He has a price of $15900 for the 2300, Woods BH and loader. I figure with a little haggling it could be had for $15500 easy. )
Does that include a 60''MMM?
( I'm new to the board also! I am looking @ a 2300 with BH, Finish mower deck and FEL. If I may be so bold to ask what you paid. I was quoted 18,500.00 befor tax, delivery etc...
( If you read the posts you will see I purchased a NEW GC2310 delivered 815miles to my door for $15350. I think you would be crazy to spend more for the woods set up????????? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif )

( I am new to this board, and like many people that are in the market for a compact tractor, I did a lot of research and checked out and compared all the other brands (JD, CC, NH, Kubota etc.)

If I was buying another Sub Compact I would get a Massy;that way I would have both.
Nope, the Kubota and Massey weigh the same, have the same ground clearance and the same size tires (the Massey has larger rims on the front but the tires have smaller sidewalls than the Kubota).
True, the Massey barely outspecs the Kubota, but the bottom line is that they both can do the same jobs. Where the Massey beats the Kubota "hands down" is looks -- sure is one sharp lookin' tractor. My BX22 is butt-ugly.
Can you refresh me on how much you paid one more time please.
No that doesnt include a mower deck.
The purpose of my post was not to compare purchase prices, it was simply to pass on some info. I just threw the $15500 out there figuring thats about what he would take, good, bad or indifferent.
Truth is that Im leaning more towards a BX23 for financing reasons anyway so call me stupid, I will probably pay a little more from a local dealer.
I am also new here. Got the 2300 yesterday. I live only 2 miles from the dealer. Could not stand driving by the display yard everyday. Good luck there casey, it is a good machine. many of the 2300 around here. We do not have dirt here we have sand, and four wheel is the only thing that works.
Just to add fire to this post, here is a GC2310, I saw today, in Effingham, ILL, they listed the price for TLB as 15000. They let me play a little bit, and took this photo, it looks like the hoe has nice reach. PS, thats my work truck in the back ground, SRS 807

( Troy thanks for the pics's... So what made you choose the BX23 over the MF2310 ...cag )

Here is one reason I would choose the BX23 over the MF2310.
Populairty:
There has to be a reason Kubota outsells MF on these Sub Cuts.
Popularity means better resale value and or makes reselling easier.
