Bucket Hitch

Has anyone simply drilled a hole in the center edge of the bucket for a ball? Different shank sizes are available, could go with as small a hole as 5/8" for a 2000lb trailer.

I remember seeing a photo on TBN like that in the past. The problem would be seeing the ball for hookup. With my setup I can see the ball. Simply drive up to the the trailer lift and drive away. Works perfect and the receiver can be removed in a few seconds when needed.

I welded a receiver to the rear of my boxblade and use a 2" and 2 5/8" hitch. works great, easy to see, lifts all my trailers without flexing and provides hook point for chains.
I have a toothbar on my bucket and there is not a good place to mount a ball there. If a hitch was mounted on top of the bucket, I could not get under one of my trailers, so I put it on the BB.

I have one purchase from the same people that make Paynes forks. Works good but I also have a toothbar that helps to stiffen the bucket.

I have a chain-on type receiver I got off ebay for cheap. Works great but seeing it requires standing up a bit. After reading this thread I wonder if I can attach it to the top of the loader...hmmmmm....
